Hi! I was just wondering if the PC version get lag problems in the single player part if you have too many game save files? The PS3 version suffers greatly, best to not have more than four files. One time I had over 20 files to avoiding broken/glitched game. The worst was when the pilot buddy wasn't willing to show up in the bar after being rescued, so I had to shift the order when he was to be added. Great game though, and I like your vids.
No. Having a large number of saved games doesn't produce any glitches AFAIK. My first runthrough, I had over 1 GB of saved game files (probably close to 100 saves) and I got through the game glitch-free.
Thanks for the reply.I only had the buddy glitch, but the lag was the worst problem.I`m on my second playthrough, and I`m going to experiment about the save files.Either too many files causes lag or perhaps the game is bugged from the second map.
Actually there is a Steam offline mode. Google "steam offline" (without the double quotes) and it should be the top result (Offline mode - Knowledge base). I've got all my Steam games configured to run in offline mode. I can't stand the idea of being required to connect to the Steam server to log in every time I wish to play a game that I OWN.
Hey Slack I know how you hate Steam but I was walking through my armory in Far Cry 2 and there's the DLC box, but I never bought it! It turns out everyone on Steam gets a free copy of the DLC Pack. You got to admit Steam does has some pretty cool stuff. No Offense if this does cause any.
Don't get me wrong. I can appreciate that Steam has some great deals. But when I go to a video game store and buy a Steam-run game, it just bugs my ass knowing that I'm not really buying the game but rather I'm buying the right to go home and download the game from Steam. To me this is an insult. I just payed good money for the right to go home and DOWNLOAD the game? What!?

I see what you mean, but I enjoy the convenience of Steam, or any digital distribution system for that matter.
