(No service Error Beep) aww crap. and how does welding at the base cause a fire up where the antenna things are? the only thing would probably be a flammable gas buildup inside the tower from the welder (couldnt get it lit) and it maybe caught the wires inside on fire and it just spread I dunno.

The coax cables inside that feed the antennas are pvc coated. So what your seeing is the PVC jacket and LDF foam dialectric burning. The Monopole is built like a chimney with ports at the bottom and top. So once the fire starts its all but impossible to stop.
