NOT A PI PA...(disappointment) btw pi pas make the sound "pi pa" that's why they're called that, it's a percussion instrument.

By the way the instrument at 0:59 isn't a pipa it is a luquin or something I can't remember the name

Very nice instrument. It's familiar background noise in quite a few video games and movies I've seen. I'll have to look up more on this.
