  • A fantastic first firing. I had the same problem with wiping off the over spill of glaze nomatter how much you wipe it, it still stains bare body I now draw a thick line of wax where i want the glaze to stop it seems to work.Just a simple tip that might help you .Try adding a little copper carbonate it will give you a blue tint and changes to copper red under reduction. I dust copper carbonate using a small cup lawn seive, onto a freshly glazed pot while its still damp . good luck regards

    I am going to go with the wax resist. I tried again today with a detail brush and still could not keep it off the edge.

  • Thanks Mark. I am learning, three runs so far with 4 loads. I am going to run it again tomorrow or this weekend, still trying new things with it, But it is all new to me at this point.
