I have just done a pretty cruel thing to my 10 year old son. He complained he did n't like the cookies i cave him to school, so i showed him what "cookies" African children get...

He's eyes got wet a bit, but he wanted to go and watch spongebob again. Western children need to learn about the greed and incensibillity towards the poverty in the world.

I think he got the point but I don't think it will help, anyway.I tried to wake him up. cruel? maby. but i've HAD it with the complaining!dammit!!

They don't have COLD WINTERS WITH SNOW and ICE. Then It woud be very hard for them to make rice, mais, bananas etc.

They have summer all the time, but where is the food? They can sow and reap all the year, but where is the food???

Many of these thin people are full of AIDS. Why is it kept hidden in these films? They always talk about money and food, but what about AIDS? They can sow and reap. Nor do they have a hard snowy winter with snow and ice.

Granted, we could feed a lot of people on what we waste each day,, but how much do celebrities spend at a routine weekend party? I'll bet you could feed 1,000 people on what you shove up your nose and in your veins. And how many african leaders take the money we do send and buy AK's and RPG's instead of seed and farm tools. We need to eliminate hunger, for sure, but EVERYONE'S got to help.

those celebrities could give up their nice houses and designer clothes if they really were so concerned with Africa. Its easy to look upset in a video for 2 mins but they dont seem to sacrifice much other than their time and image(which could be a publicity stunt). I mean if you make millions and cant donate a really generous amount of your total income then dont consider yourself such a humanitarian. + also blame this on the developed countries profiting from colonization and now imperialism.

I've always thought the best way to stop poverty on the African Continent is to stop patronising them with hand outs, and let them trade (yeah I know that dirty word capatilism). The trade restrictions in place are designed to encourage good governance (so they would have us believe), who they trying to kid? Surely the people dying daily should be the concern, not the short term interests of not lining the pockets of some dictator to two - they can be dealt with another day.>>>

this is so sad :( but you know we (people who have alot) waste money on excess needs. if we donated half of what we spent on stuff we dont need we would be able to fight poverty. that and goverments need to be less corrupted.
