My God talk about genius talent set to the back burner is beyond the pale. She can go toe to toe with any slide guitarist, of any genre, both male and female. Nine times out of 10 she'd either slide ahead or match them straight up...in her sleep! There's not a doubt in my mind.
Thanks for posting!!...I have the Honkey Tonk Angel album......The first time I heard her sing this song, I went straight out and bought it. I think it's the best version ever!! There are many great songs on that album, too.
@ThalitaLaira She is amazing... and she sings this song so great. Better than Blinf Faith. She is an amazing guitarist too... she is playing. I saw ger in a small cafe in Montreal, many, many years ago. She is the daughter of missionaries and she grew up in Japan. She has a website. Bless.
I saw her at a coffee house in Atlanta, I think in 1973, about the time she released "We the People", and she gave an outrageously wonderful performance, with an audience of about 25 people. I would love to see her play again, but she doesn't seem to perform very often.
@ayahuascayage She does still play, go to her website there is a tour schedule there. She is a best kept secret isn't she. I saw her perform in a small cafe in Montreal many years ago and I would use your words to describe her performance too.

Her lack of exposure and obscurity goes to show that the music industry is not interested in real talent, only bump-and-grind spectacles from the likes of plastic divas such as Brittney Spears et al.

You should just use a photo of her or the albun's cover. Sometimes, less is more...
