@narnia5k the only main difference is the fact that most judo gyms have evolved to fit the Olympic variation of judo which involves very little ground game. Nearly every submission in bjj is in judo. Gogoplata? that's the Kagato-Jime in judo. And the list goes on.
The only real difference is the fact that bjj focuses more on newaza, which is ground game. Although if you go to a more traditional judo gym, you can find one that focuses on newaza just as much.
this kesa was not on tight...his right leg needs to be straight out. if it's bent like that all you need to do is bridge then twist him over you. also his right hand should be gripping his pants. all the weight should be focused in the middle of his chest not where it was on your right ribs. when kesa is done right it is very hard to get out.
i tride it with a friend who practiced wrestling and judo, but he he was 70 pounds heavier yhan me:) and it didnot work:(,i like to train with bigger opponents and all this stuff doesnot always works and we don't always use gi's,just saying i can not get out of the kesa g. what else is there to try,i have tried everyting:(...maibe he's to stong, because he can lift 550 pounds with he's leg power....
I would like to see you do some no gi throws and the judo to MMA transition of throws using an overhook and or underhook to control and cage use to facilitate the throw. Just some random thoughts.
Yes, juji gatame would be another good transition. Next month's video will be showing some other transitions from this position. What are some other techniques you would like to see?
Love that Newaza, thanks for posting

@BootyBot bjj is developed from judo, so it's a bit different. These guys are practicing judo, but I'm pretty sure this counts for bjj aswell..

@BootyBot I meant that you pretty much knew this a lot better than me, so my comment didn't bring any new information to you :)

@BootyBot Or maybe they do both, but doesn't matter my points is that the two martial arts should not be judged as the same =P
