I don't know, it's kinda cute and I'd totally give that cat a home and all, but how the hell do you keep a cat with that kind of exposed flesh healthy?

I've seen videos and pictures of this cat interacting with other kitties and even dogs and I love it. I think it's so sweet how animals seem to behave around Chase as though she were just like any other cat, which really, she is. I wish human beings had the capacity to move past the initial surprise of seeing a person who's experienced some kind of disfigurement and then to continue on from there without feeling the need to mention it even out of the person's presence
The frick? I had a dream about this cat! A few months ago, I had a dream that I saw my cat cookie playing, and when she turned around she had no face, just like this cat. Scary thing is they have similar fur markings O__O

I read about Chase she's a happy healthy cat. Except she does need daily meds to keep her eyes moist. She was hit by a car at 4 weeks of age that took the skin off her face. I wonder if they could do skin graphing, just to at least give her eye lids, and maybe a nose. But if she's doing just fine the way she is, then I guess it's best to just leave things as they are. She was born in 2005! :)
He does looks horrifying, but what the programme is promoting is that, despite its appearance, the cat is still a living being with a nice attitude. That is why so many people love this cat.

I think she is one of the most adorable cat's i ve ever seen, who had a very unfortunate start in life, but check out her blog, she is very much loved by her owners. I ve had cats all my life and i tell by their body language when they are in discomfort and this cat seams very happy to me.
I dunno about you guys, but I think Chase and her story is inspiring. She was hit by a car and left on the side of the road for two days before anyone helped her. Can you imagine it? A 4 week old kitten laying there two whole days..I don't even want to think how much pain she was in, but I will say this...the fact that she lasted that long at such a young age gives you an idea of just how badly this baby wanted to live...needless to say she's earned herself a good life no matter how she looks.

The cat was rescued by a vet tech. They attempted to reconstruct his face but there wasn't enough to work with. They say the cat is in no pain. If the cat is happy then I see no reason to put him down.
a car hit her,and they did surgery on it.the cat was addopted by the vet that was looking after her.now shes used in disfiguration classes,to help people with confidence.by the way the cats not in pain.(its in better condition now than it was before it walked infront of the car) nah the last part was a bad joke lol :D

@bleedblue83 she can't blink, but she can see perfectly fine, so has to have eyedrops everyday. She got her injury when she was a baby, so I don't think she remembers what it's like without the exposure. Apparently, from what I read on her blog, she hasn't been sick in years (the other cat in the family gets sick more!), and only sneezes more often is all.
@shadowolf2k Can she even see out of both her eyes? I notice one eye is a different shade than the other - is it because she can't blink and the eye is really dried out? Or is she blind in that eye?
If she can see out of that eye, I think it's unbearable agony to not be able to blink. Just think about it, if you or I try to not blink our eyes would hurt and water after just a minute - so if that's what this cat has to go through, then that's horrible. But again I don't know the situation
@bleedblue83 According to the blog, her vision is perfect. One eye still retains the bottom eyelid, but I think she can see both out of 'em. Because her injury happened when she was so young (roughly 3 weeks old), it's likely she doesn't even remember how to blink. She grew up over the years without eyelids, so it's normal for her, and is used to her treatment (to keep her eyes from drying, and removing dust/hair).

a car hit her,and they did surgery on it.the cat was addopted by the vet that was looking after her.now shes used in disfiguration classes,to help people with confidence.by the way the cats not in pain.(its in better condition now than it was before it walked infront of the car) nah the last part was a bad joke lol :D

@bleedblue83 she can't blink, but she can see perfectly fine, so has to have eyedrops everyday. She got her injury when she was a baby, so I don't think she remembers what it's like without the exposure. Apparently, from what I read on her blog, she hasn't been sick in years (the other cat in the family gets sick more!), and only sneezes more often is all.

@shadowolf2k Can she even see out of both her eyes? I notice one eye is a different shade than the other - is it because she can't blink and the eye is really dried out? Or is she blind in that eye?
If she can see out of that eye, I think it's unbearable agony to not be able to blink. Just think about it, if you or I try to not blink our eyes would hurt and water after just a minute - so if that's what this cat has to go through, then that's horrible. But again I don't know the situation

@bleedblue83 According to the blog, her vision is perfect. One eye still retains the bottom eyelid, but I think she can see both out of 'em. Because her injury happened when she was so young (roughly 3 weeks old), it's likely she doesn't even remember how to blink. She grew up over the years without eyelids, so it's normal for her, and is used to her treatment (to keep her eyes from drying, and removing dust/hair).
