They create their music using a Commodore 64 chip/programme originally used for creating the in game music and sounds, not screwing around with a bunch of kindergarten kids toys
Hey what are u soldering to be able to hook up the 1/4 male cable to hook it up to Mixer or speaker.. i wanna be able to do that, so i dont have to put my Condenser mic up to to speaker on the toy.
yeah, i do that too, it always works. i even had a toy that had an output on it that didnt work, soldered it to the speakers output and worked perfectly
on my speak and spell i did, and on my sks too, but on my speak and math i left the speaker and made a little adaptor for the earphone plug.. you can buy one at radio shack for like 2 bucks too.. great stuff btw.. !
I had all three of these damn toys when I was 8 years old and now I am 36 years old and seeing what some people have done to these things is amazing I love it great sounds dude
I am scared that someone will get hurt by bent circuits. I also take pride in learning how the circuit works and to make one of my own. If you feel proud from a bent circuit think of how I feel after building the circuit from scratch. Take a look at my 8085 HEX CLOCK on you tube. I have never been to school. You can do it right. Have fun be safe!!
hmmm, advice from me? just get crazy with it :) dont go downloading 20 thousand plugins...you will just get lost in them, go through them methodically one at a time and pull them apart. Also, if you are running PC, do a search for the "dblue glitch" plugin, its free. and, learn how things work :) i didnt for years, but now i am and its paying off :) learn how plugins ACTUALLY do all the things they do, makes it easier to do stuff instead of just using presets.
What would be some good toys of this type to use that wouldn't cost a lot? (i.e., speak and spells are said to be a perfect starting point for circuit bending, but they're a little expensive for my budget because they're "vintage")
i was making a reference to the term " cuircit bending " not your obvious skills . if i offended you then im sorry . but read my comment again you will see that i was pointing the finger at people who think this is somthing magical , and not some random experiment
as i understand it " cuircit bending " is taking an electronic noise maker , kids keyboard furby , or whatever apart then making a cuircit between two contacts that were not supposed to be connected , this will (A) make a cool noise or (B) does nothing or frys a chip ,
Dont try to introduce it to coke. I know they say it works well cleaning car batteries (pure bullshit!) but it works better when you clean it with a little water then, drink the coke. Yeah, it works by giving thee the sugar needed to get off the couch and go scrub the terminals and not leave another stickier mess as well.
Nice vid. Electric music is here to stay. If u like glitch and experimental electronic music and film, check out my vids and tell me what u think, all help is appreciated.
Crazy unusual stuff the best thing I watched today.Could have been better with more sounds out of that RM1X but I guess it's just used for triggering.
