  • oh yo ulucky bastard i've never even seen the legendary smallman guitar in real life!

  • i want one see the back of the guitars there amazing

  • can someone email me and tell me where i can find smallmans for sale does greg have a site i havent found one if you want to know what i think is a great guitar check out TOM RODRIGUEZ NOT THE SAME AS NORMAL GUITAR CENTER RODRIGUEZ THIS GUY IS A 1 MAN LUTHIER LIKE GREG SMALLMAN THERE MADE IN RICHMOND VIRGINIA

  • can you describe how the smallman compared to a normal guitar?

  • these guitars are like $25 000, so I think the price tag describes them, I played one once, its pretty incredible, but you have to be good enough to really use it to its fullest

  • I'll say, my teacher has one and he let me play it!!

  • you luky person you got 2 go on a greg smallman are they loud

  • @xYEAHxKYLEx They are SO LOUD!

  • they are loud and very responsive, easy to play, responds to the quietest touch, because of the very thin top. More difficult to manage in polyphonic works, and less tonal variation than a standard constructed guitar, but a very nice and well projecting tone.

  • Structurally, they are very different from traditional fan-braced guitars. They use lattice bracing instead and as Matt said, enables Greg to use a very thin top. The back and sides are thicker than normal.

Smallmans are often described as being very loud but at the expense of tonal complexity. Classical guitar forums are full of opinions on both sides. While Smallmans get a lot of criticism, there are many luthiers now, Australian or otherwise, making well-accepted lattice-braced guitars.
