I agree with all these comments. It's far too early to tell, but so far it seems he presided over the successful rescue of the global financial system and economy. It all depends on how his exit strategy for that rescue. But what I do know for sure is that I trust his judgement above anyone else's in this regard. I don't think Mitt is defending indiscretions of the Fed, but I have to agree that it is better off independent of our current corrupt Congress. Personally I don't like the idea AT ALL of a Central Bank, and I am concerned that we are not setting up a Central Bank of Health Care. If we could trust our Congress (whose job the Fed does, according to the Constitution) more than we can trust a Fed that refuses to be transparent (?!?), I would say dissolve the Fed, but he has a point for the moment.
