Mais pourquoi ne pas avoir indiqué qu'il s'agit du "Prélude de la Suite en D La Ré mineur" d'Ennemond Gaultier dit le vieux Gaultier alors que le manuscrit Vaudry de Saizenay contient d'innombrables Préludes?

@frenchiecocorico1 merci pour ton commentaire. En fait dans le Ms Saizenay il apparait comme prelude anonyme. Q meme on l'utilise souvint comme prelude dans la suite en re mineur de Gaultier.

@laberintosingeniosos C'est tout à fait exact mais le manuscrit Vaudry de Sauzenay contient beaucoup de Préludes anonymes. Pour distinguer celui, il aurait peut être été mieux de préciser "attribué à Ennemond Gaultier" comme le font la plupart des musicologues actuels.

@laberintosingeniosos Yes I know this prélude is from an unknown composer but there are two anonymous preludes in this first book of the "Manuscrit Vaudry de Saizenay". It would be preferable to indicate "Prelude D La ré tierce mineure" as in the original title of the manuscript (with the signature De Saizenay) to distinguish this one. Is this Prelude was composed by Jean Estienne Vaudry de Saizenay himself, the Robert De Visée's pupil? Stylistically, it looks like Ennemont Gaultier pieces.
