Yeah you would be surprised how many accidents and semi trucks come down that road. What's fun is to go to Cades Cove and tak Parson Road, which is a scenic trail that you can drive that leads to the middle of "Dragon's Tail".

Nice Riding! As a fellow track day and License Racer, I can tell you that these guys know what they are doing. it may seem dangerous to someone who does not have that kind of skill level to ride at. But they were not even riding at 75% of what they can really do. How do I know that becasue I ride the same way. There is a difference from the street as to the track. So no they are not idiots just becasue you cannot ride like that. It takes years to learn how to ride like that. Great ride I enjoyed

I was in the gap 3 weeks ago and there were 2 semi trucks going inopposite directions. If another rider hadn't stopped me going into a corner, I would have come face toface with the semi in the middle of the corner. These guys are awesome riders, but Deal's may not be the place to push this hard with all the blind corners.

If you moved the footpegs back a little you could change the seating position and this might stop your knee scraping on the ground and you would be able to go faster around the bends

Scraping is a way of telling

A. im going a fairly good speed for the bend

B. Im at peak tyurning angle(Turn sharpes thus can increase speed)

So in conclusion its good to scrape a knee...i think of scraping like shooting at night...aint no way you can see if your zeroed in without tracers...(Scrapes are like tracers)

Okay for those who say that they are going to kill someone. There were 3 deaths in 2007. One was some guy on a R1(Super Powerful Sportbike). The other was a couple on a GOLDWING Trike(Full dressed touring bike that mainly 80year olds drive except this one had 3 wheels) who took a turn too fast and into the back of a boat on a trailer(Not over their lines and not the boat's fault at all) killing both driver and passenger.

There were more deaths at Myrtle Bach Bike Week AKA Black Bike Week.

1. They definitely are not sticking to the speed limit

2. They are way too fast on the curves

3. They are turning into blind curves at an astonishingly high speed - they could easily run into another biker or a car ahead of them

4. They ever so often cross over the double yellow lines

Pick up some tunes like Joe Satriani Surfing with the Alien or Eric Johnson Cliffs of Dover instead of lulling your brain into a coma with Cannon D videos(poorly played at best)you might be able to appreciate some riding tempo.
