If you can afford $20,000 for a two week cruise, then your richer (and luckier) than i am. For those who want luxury for less coin, go for Holland America. Damn fine ships and staff in that line and starting at less than 1k.

@gunnyhill0 Excellent advice. Wehave a Holland America booking for this April. I was just searching Silversea for ideas for the 2012 vacation and a nice dream it was too. Silversea have amazing ships and the service is like nothing else but it all comes at a price I cannot justify. A 7 night cruise on Silver Spirit would cost almost double our 16 night vacation on Westerdam (superior verandah suite too).Maybe one day if I become wealthy!!

But you do recommend Holland America, right?

Most of Silversea passengers don´t pay for the full fare, since the company usually offers discounts up to 60%. I was on the Silver Cloud, I am not a millonaire, and I have payed 1500 for a week cruise. It´s a bit more expensive than premium cruise lines, but it´s worth the last penny.
