The official was where he was supposed to be. The umpire covers the ball until the ready for play is blown. You can hear the ready for play whistle right as the umpire got hit. He would have backed into his proper position (behind the LB's) if he was not hit.

I'm not a fan of either team and I think that is total BS. So the offense is allowed a safeguard from the linebackers for 1-2 seconds between when the whistle is blown and when the ref arrives behind the LBs? I don't think so. The ref was misplaced .

Official shouldn't have been there. What I'm assuming was going on was Vontaze was showing a blitz by coming up to the line but didn't see the official to the last moment. You see linebackers rush up all the time in the game, so I wouldn't be shocked.

The flag was justified and required by the rules. If you don't believe me, look up the rule. I did. Apparently the refs didn't.

But the worst part is that an ASU DL is offsides when play resumes. Once again, if you don't believe me, check the video at the 1:41 mark and the 2:19 mark.

So that makes two plays in a row where the refs screwed Georgia out of an automatic first down.

And don't even get me started on the zebra rape committed on AJ Green's TD catch they they "missed".

this was not georgia's best effort by far. i think several factors went in to this not being a blowout and the asu defense was not one of them. UGA may have been looking ahead to LSU. I think the weather really made it hard on the running game too. UGA really shot themselves in the foot too many times with penalties as well. how bout A.J. Green torching that secondary again and again just like last season?? Pac-10 sucks!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

If you go by the predominant polling system at the time, whether it be AP, UPI, BSC, or the Helms Poll (way back in the day), then during the modern era, Pac 10 schools have 15 credited national championships. SEC schools have 19. Good try though. Facts suck huh?
