You can run about 8-10 psi on a stock D16z6 as long as you get your fuel management all setup correctly, so you dont run lean in which you would blow any engine. I am running 6psi currently on my d16z6 but my weak stage 1 clutch cannot handle the power so im getting a stage 2 clutch soon.

My next setup is a SOHC d16y8. im working for 350-450hp on a maximum 18-20pounds of boost. im gonna boost by gear too so its gonna be hella fun. theres nothing funner than a SOHC boosted. u cant fuck the motors up as much as u can if u blew a k

@crossracing70 you can get a k24a4 long block for $800-1000, or just the bottom end for like $475 and a k20 head for around $700. mounts for $550, and ECU like $250 (if its not Kpro). all the little parts like hoses and wiring harness is pretty cheap. labor from a shop might be a bit extra, but thats why its good to have friends who can do swaps.
dont know where you got 5600. my k20a2 with ECU and tranny and all the accessories as you see on hmotorsonline, only cost me $3500.

u could build any motor for that price might as well buy the block and build the motor your self for 9 grand maybe save a thousand or so
i drive a sohc civic and if you know what your doing u could lay power out just like a nicely built b for the cheaper price

From my experience, anything over 200HP is too much for the stock d16.
At least put in good rods and low comp pistons.
So if you're gonna throw a turbo on one and want high HP's, make sure you do your research.
I run 18-20psi around town, and have not had any trouble.
And also......don't underestimate a programmable ECU. find one for a Vtech and get the necessary Wiring harness' to make it work.

You can tell its NOT by the sound and timing of his shifts. If it was sped up the shifts would be a lot faster.

ok if you really think it was sped up. then explain how you can speed up just the speedometer an rpm gauges with out changing the way the engine sounds.

well if you dont want speed why u upgrading ur car i mean keep it stock and ofcourse i hate ricers and v6 fags i owna turbo civic i smoke out cobras like nothing but my gas does drain like if its water so am planing to get another car maybe a civic stock but ya ur car do as you desire to it i was just kinda saying thats all

he said 350 fwhp out of a blown k20 with toda vtec killer cams thats realistic but a supercharger is not as much fun and nowhere near as efficient as a turbocharger.

Pretty good, I got a turbo y8 as well. have you changed the flywheel? Also, I hope that check engine light isn't due to the MAP sensor, or else your running like shit.
