if you make it larger, you will see the pixels and it will become blurred but if you do the right vectoring you can re-size it any size you want. that is the aim of vectoring to change the pixel image into a vector image.
In the layers window, look above your actual layers part and you'll see a small window that says "normal". Click on that and a menu should appear with such words as "Difference", "Multiply", "Screen", and "Overlay". Just below Overlay will be an option called "Soft Light".
