I have this watch and I love the fact that it is automatic. I will never have to buy a battery. I also do a lot of handy work with the watch on and the glass looks as good as it did the day I took it out of the box.

Its not available. Its a bastardisation of the original theme done by Omega's marketing people.

You could try contacting Omega directly. The tune is different to the original John Barry theme though has the same Bond 'flavours' if you like.

Accordingly there's no licence issues for Omega.

There is an error in this commercial, the Omega from Goldeneye didn't feature the chronometer movement. If you don't believe me, get the movie and freeze the frame on the scene when 006 examines Bond's watch next to his. Notice how the second hand ticks rather than sweeps as it would if it was a chronometer. Also note the face markings on the watch. The notion that it was a chronometer version of the 300m Seamaster is a very widespread misconception. I'd know, I own the original Goldeneye Omega

@vandervalz it's the blue dial. the black dial was introduced back around 2008 when Quantum of Solace was in theaters. Seems every time there's a new Bond movie they come out with a new watch.

I have this 2531.80 Omega Seamaster! Its really beautiful and reliable. I've had it for over 2 years now. Such a pity that Omega has since discontinued production on it in order to make way for the newer version with the Co-Axial movement that was worn by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale. Saving some money to get that one soon.

Yes. Bond used to wear Rolex, but during GoldenEye production team finded out that Bond needed watch that is meybe less known than Rolex, still luxorious, and more European styled watch.

Choise was clear. And we all know what it is....

I don't thing he ever had a Breittling. Just Rolex, Seiko, Hamilton ( I believe one worn by Roger Moore ) and Omega. He had an OMega Seamaster Quartz in Goldeneye, only later changing to the automatic. The commercial featured here shows the automatic.

He used a Breitling in Thunderball, issued by Q Branch. I don't know about Hamilton though, since that's an American brand. Roger Moore usually had a Seiko, and in Live and Let Die, he used a Pulsar LED watch at the beginning, before M gave him the Rolex.

Wrong. Bond has been "paired" with Rolex and Seiko that I know of, perhaps even more. AFAIK Omega did not get involved until Brosnan became Bond.

That's right. The james bond franchise preferred omega over rolex because omega were open to product placement and cross promotion deals whereas rolex feel that dilutes the prestige of their brand.
