im not here to be hatin but i got this for christmas from woot. took out the first time got a snag the reel sounded like a car breaking down,one of the eyes of the pole is loose sliding down my pole,last but not least the pole that slides out keeps accidently sliding back in. this also looks weird like a city slicker wii remote holder.stick with zebco or shakesphere rodswhat these advertisment are saying is BS dont fall for it like we did i promice you will regret it

DONT BUY!!! me and my dad bought one each as we were going on holiday and fancied a bit of fiching from the rocks etc....the quality is POOR! My stepdads reel broke within 2-3 hours. There isnt enough capacity on the reel either. After 3 days of use the circular reel case split on my rod, and it wouldnt screw in properly. CHEAP AND TACKY construction and materials, dont be fooled by the bullshit in the advert!!!!!

i have had one of these for years and find it brilliant caught many many fish on my travels vey handy.

Lets not forget all you pessimists this is a good value travel rod and is unique in its own right for being so handy and small not a £200 top of the range spinning rod and reel kit

Couple of my mates brought these back in the 90s, what a pile of crap they are. Granted my mate did catch a cod of a couple of lb on his, but couldnt reel it in, handle just kept spinning on the spot so he had to handline it in.

I had one of these rods. As a spare rod in your car, or tackle box they are good. They couldnt replace a normal rod and reel, but as a spare back up rod they are ok. I couldnt cast very far with this when i first got it, but with a little practice I could cast 50 yards with it.

I've read some reviews that the company is terrible with processing refunds. Don't order this thing. If you still want it, call them on the phone for the automated ordering and don;t complete the order and call them again. They might just give you an automatic discount. But save your money and some trouble and just buy a rod from your local sporting goods store.

Buyers beware.

Don't buy this thing. You're better off with a $20 rod from Walmart or Big 5. When it ships to you, it comes looking used. It doesn't look clean or polish and it may or may not have operational or physical defects. My rods came with the largest eye misaligned. On of the reels didn't reel well. It had scuff marks. I got it the first day and had to send it back the next for a replacement. It's a poor quality rod.
