@254bigpoppa, I think it will sound pretty good, the flat tips give a little different sound from what I have heard and seen but its not a bad sound at all.

Its loud but not nasty like yours sound. Yours just sound bad ass man. Mine just completely don't sound like it. Its incredibly deep and more sounds like a stock car when hammered.

for a great tone and not loud loud then the extremes but the nasty loud i loved the straights. The glasspacks are kind of in between the 2 so its a fair trade.

Then I would think the extreme would be perfect. It sounds great under acceleration but when just ridin around it aint like my glasspacks.

The only reason mine popped was because I do not have an x or h pipe, but it did stay about the same the whole time I had them. With an x or h pipe though it would not pop near as much.

Its hard to say, the glasspacks are louder and nasty but the extremes had a more race tone more than straight nasty, either set up sounds damn good and i would run either set up on any truck.

I already had the true duals ran and I cut out my glasspacks and paid somewhere around 125 for the 2 mufflers and for them to be installed.

@05silvy how did you run true duals off of that? i was told at the local muffler place that i couldnt run true dual on my 02' GMC sierra Z71 (step side) with 5.3 ltr.. could you post a video of how you had your true duals ran?

hey man im looking to either get glasspacks or extreme and i want it to be as loud as possible and have as much pop as possible, which would u go with? im running straight pipe now but it dont have much pop and its got a bad sound

not really, the sound is just totally different, my glasspacks were very nasty and the extremes is more of a clean loud i guess you could say, I think they both sound great honestly, BUT thats because i ran both set ups lol

Its kinda got a wine to it and then it has a really deep tone to it. Its hard to explain but you can definately tell that the intake is there.

You should love the sound, my buddy traded me glasspacks for those single chambers i had so i took the deal. lol. and i was wonderin why the person behind me kinda followed me but it aint no big deal. i was just late for class lol

If your gonna run true dual straights do not do over 3 inch pipin. The 3 inch will be very loud and sound damn good but dont be lookin for speed if you cut your cats out and run 3 inch all the way back from the headers. its just gonna sound good but you aint gonna have a lot of speed. The 2.5 inch did great for me with my programmer and intake when i had my straights.

i got a 06 silverado z71 and i had a cheap 40 dollar muffler i put on mine but i think i got water up in my exhaust and it rusted something in the muffler and started rattling bad so i just sawed the some bitch off and in 5 mins i got alot better sound with the cats on it only.. but the tip stops at my backseat since i lost pipe length and its loud as hell inside my truck.. im thinkin about put 3.5 maybe 4 in true dual straights w/o the cats.. you think thatll sound good? prolly loud as hell..

Nice cackle for still havin cats AND muffs. If you want your straights back, and I mean takin EVERYTHING out included cats, you can get an aftermarket PCM that won't set a code without your cats on. Kinda pricy for some, but well worth it if you don't want anything messin with the flow or sound. That truck would sound wicked without cats and muffs. And you can get the sound ya want with different sizes and types of tips. Good luck!

when your just drivin at a constant speed it aint bad at all, when its just loud is wide open throttle, its got a deep kinda race tone to it almost, but when you put your foot to the floor your gonna here it.

naw i didn get tired of the straights, I thought i was trading the truck in so i put mufflers back on it. i miss the straights more than anything.

the straight pipes were WAY louder but this gives you good back pressure and and damn good tone. its louder than any single is dual out muffler but not as loud as true dual straights
