Melo-Death is the same as Melodic Death but has both singing and screaming, but isn't Metalcore either. Though many metal rookies (6yrs or less listening to MDM) use Melo-Death and Melodic Death interchangeably, its not true. SW is Melo-Death & used to be Melodic Death with the typical Gothenburg sound.

Discussions on what kind of genre Soilwork is are quite pointless... The way I see it, they just make some goddamn good fuckin' music. Every album they make is different from the next, and everyone should at least be able to appreciate one of them. Melodic Death Metal is special because the vocals are meant to be heard and since it's clearer with pieces of clean vocals and chorus, it's the best...
Figure Number Five is my favourite album, followed closely by Natural Born Chaos... Sworn To A Great Divide is the following. They are always great, but I think In Flames are the best.
The greatest successful experiment done in the music's lifetime will have to be combining clean vocals and growl and screams! It's simply the key to connect a chain between all kinds of music styles. In Disarmonia Mundi it's all done digitally, and it's also very techno alike just as well as Melodic Death Metal!

There is lots of killer guitars especially in Come Clarity. but you are free to not like them anymore i don't care tbh. I still like them. Tho i do agree they where beter before at Whoracle but they still kickass

Every album for them have been an experiment unless you knew.. Even Colony was. What has changed is his vocal style mostly, Before colony, he did not have an correct vocal style which you can hear in jester race album. But still i think they are as good now as they were from the beginning, Only album i dislike is Lunar Strain cause of vocals

Figure Number Five is my favourite album, followed closely by Natural Born Chaos... Sworn To A Great Divide is the following. They are always great, but I think In Flames are the best.
