wow , that's exactly what i need for my project, i need a steam turbine on inlet conditions 400 C and 9ml,/s and 7 bars ...steam should expand to give 5 kw but ii got no idea how to design such a turbine and how to design the blades, can you help ????
@woodfirepower Hi i'm oworking on a trash to heat n power system and wonder if you are selling those turbines ?? what i'm looking for is a setup witch can run a generator on the energy produced.. i was thinging about usinge a gasengine but a turbine like this would be even better:)
Yes, 10 kW is 13.4 HP. Steam HP results from the pressure, the temperature, AND the flow rate in pounds per minute (or second or hour). Power is equal to Energy per unit Time. But usable energy is only the portion of energy flowing that is at a pressure and or temperature higher than outside ambient. So you can't get HP from steam pressure alone. And yes, there are charts. They're called "Steam Tables". Do a google search and you'll find many calculators..enter steam properties, get HP
