I wouldnt consider this Jazz Fusion, this is just shredding with maybe 3% jazz in it. Listem to Frank Gambale, Dave Weckl and Chick Corea electric band for 80's fusion. Return to forever for 70's, Miles Davis for the first experiments. Take a listen to japanese fusion as well. Bands like Casiopea, T-square and Dimension.
In order to play Fusion(also know as Jazz/Rock Fusion)you may well consider learning the Jazz half. This includes playing over chord changes and improvisational skills among other aspects. You are quite well on the way.Good work!!
this aint fusion at all -just basic rock/metal guitar wanking in one key, but you're only a kid so I cant be too rough on you! you just dont know that yet. you will some day if you continue to learn guitar seriously. You need to be able to play jazz first before you can play fusion. fusion means jazz+rock, and you cant play jazz yet. greg howe is a metal shredder who trys to play fusion but still comes out all shred. that's not fusion. just advanced shredding. may you learn true fusion someday
