@CKingEducation aside from the fact that it is asked in the exams, it actually helps solving harder equations. However you are right, the problem in the video is too simple to solve with this method.
@CKingEducation When teaching, easy problems that could be solved more easily with other methods are often used .. But this method is very useful in other cases ;)
By multiplying the second row (R2) by -1/7, you are taking a short cut. This is fine and dandy at this point in time. When you get in to slightly more advanced matrices, and I stress slightly, this will indefinitely cause problems.
Bottom line; avoid multiplying the row you are working with.
thank you...I am an engineering student in college and had not seen Gaussian Elimination all summer..this was a great crash course refresher...keep up the good work.
You should definately consider mounting that camera in such a way as to minimize the wobbling..! I became quite seasick from watching this shit! Bad explanation, poor examples, and not at all presented in "plain English" as stated...
I will have to give you bad ratings on this, sorry!
Wobbly camera made me feel seasick...Good video though!

25 problems x 6minutes to do it= 150minutes to solve, simplify that is 2 1/2hr of homework for 25 problems, yea fucking right

Plain English? You managed to complicate a simple equation. You added 6 steps to the solution.
