  • barrel plug please lol!!

  • u dont hold the grip at the top... u put your thumb on the bottom and 2 fingers on grip and 2 fingers on air hose

  • @BradleyCullisonAK47 you should hold the gun how ever you feel comfortable holding it, when your most relaxed you can generally focus on taking a shot instead of thinking that your supposed "pro" shooting pose (which looks fancy) is extremely uncomfortable.

  • Where can u fill up n2 tanks

  • @JacobHarrisTV n2? I am familiar with C02 and HPA, if your meaning HPA (AKA nitrous) most paintball fields will be able to refill them.

  • Is this gun also mechanical?

  • @glovenupm1 no

  • can someone explain basically what these "eyes" are...i havent played since 2000 and im thinking about kicking ass once again and getting this gun perhaps.

    thanks

  • @derekcollis I have this gun the eyes prevent the gun from chopping paintballs. If you dry fire the gun you will have to turn the eyes off because with eyes on the gun will on fire when something is in the area where the derlin bolt hits the paintball this helps because if your hopper aint fast enough and your gun doesnt have eyes the bolt might hit the paintball when only half of the paintball is in the area and then the paintball will break. i would get this gun any more ?s u can messeage me

  • can someone please explain to me exactly what these "eyes" are basically. I havent played paintball since 2000 and thinking about getting into it again and getting this gun.

    Thank you

  • can i run co2 on this gun?

  • @footballhero42 yes, but HPA is cleaner and shots are more consistent

  • GAY !!!!!

  • anyone want to trade for a spyder compact 2000? or buy

  • wat are the modes wat is milenum and psp rsmping?

  • @sparkyplug10 basically if you maintain 5 trigger pulls per second the gun will fire at 13, or 12 bps

  • could i use a 20 oz tank on this gun?

  • @WhiplashPTB you can use any CO2 tank size on the pilot, that includes 9 oz, 12 oz, 20 oz, 24 oz and more

  • nice

  • YO do you have to buy a reg adapter for this or can you just put your own reg on it w/o any ups cause im trying to buy my girlfriend a gun cause she really loves paintball but i dont have that much cash on me i was thinking about the blitz or this

  • spyders rule and u know it

  • thats not even a reg its a gas thro grip i would know thats why i got an slg and not this

  • whats are the eyes and what do they do. and what is a marker?

  • a marker is just a fancy, non-violent term for paintball guns. eyes detect whether a paint ball is positioned properly in the chamber. If the eyes don't detect a paint ball, it won't fire.

  • the hopper isnt horrible... it is a higher end hopper but doesnt have the speed most ppl want.

  • its heavy, and big but it is very reliable and is fast enough for my gun

  • personally if i was u i woulda saved up another 50 bucks and bought a proto slg... and i woulda gotten an hpa tank and better hopper

  • I do have an HPA but $50 for the slg and more for the hopper is a lot to me, I don't a lot of money and most of it goes into my dirt bike these days.

  • what do you mean the reg won 't keep up?

  • @littlekidwithdahat

its recharge rate is to slow, basically the gun fires before the reg reaches the required pressure, so velocity fluctuates

  • ah.. the pilot doesnt have a reg.. its a gas thru foregrip.. so your basically relying on the hpa tank. which normally can keep up with every marker on the market

  • u should have got a proto or a vibe or..something

  • lol im getting the same set up spyder pilot 09 with eye and vl eye force my parents dont pay for my shit either

  • ya, I kinda wish they did, but I am proud to be one of the few kids who buy their own gear.

  • learn how to aim properly:P

  • is compressed air the same thing as nitro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! answer please and also if i run the psp on 15 bps will the reg keep up and not break down??? im buying 1 and i need to know

  • yes, it is the same. nitro, HPA, and compressed air are all the same

  • if psp on 15 bps will reg and asa keep up and will it be fine with all stock at 15 fps?

  • sort of, in semi-auto with controlled bursts it can be very accurate, but at max speed, the reg has difficulty keeping up, and accuracy, and FPS will fluctuate, but it is not terrible, and I am able to live with it (for now...)

  • what if i get a new reg? then will it be good? i need it to be able to ramp psp w/o loss of accuracy and fps

  • that should do the trick

  • do you recomend any specific regs? im on a budget so i dont really got the money to buy and throw away.... i need a very good and cheap enough reg.. also will i need a new board or anything else because its fully stocked and its for my lil bro and i need it to be just perfect!!!

  • I have not upgraded my reg, but I have heard a lot of good things about the CP reg.

  • your reg will hold up if you run nitro

  • is there a good gun thats cheap that isnt spyder or tippman??? i want a g3 so if any 1 is selling please tell me preferbly blue but i dont care about color just need a g3 or another really good gun

  • are you a beginner? If so you dont need a a g3 your gonna suck and everyone at the field if gonna get pissed when you have a g3 and your the last guy and you have a g3 you will get owned and everyone will call you a poser.

  • ya im gonna buy a gloss blue min for 120 with dye 14" barrel but i think something is wrong with it cuz 120 for mini with dye barrel is pretty fishy and suspicious are there any specifi things to look at to see if its broken???

  • bring some paint, and a tank, and ask if you can shoot the gun. They will say yes if they really want you to buy it. Just try it out, and inspect it, and ask about anything you see on the gun that seems like3 it may have an issue.

  • yo most people get rid of minis because of problems. look to see if the bolt is okay then check if the asa and geg are okay then the board because minis have probs with all of these things

  • but what do i look for in thesse things i now were to look at but what do i look for? broken wires? no dip switches? if the bolt is black or how i cant tell if its clean properly and not just been cleaned so it looks good so i buy it and how do i know its been taken care of?

  • look for loose things in the board and broken wires. also make sure he gives you new detends. and the tool box. shoot the gun before you buy it

  • what do you mean new detents??? like new board? im buying it tommorrow sunday

  • new thing that you put on top of the eyes if you dont feel like cleaning the eyes.

  • what does it look like?

  • the inside the eyes

  • i dont know how to get to the eys

  • look down the feed neck

  • hey if a get a spyder pilot with eyes and its 09 if its stock will it last a pretty long time and wont break and will it be reliable??? i play woodsball and speedball so.. i need a good gun but a very cheap max im willing to pay is like $150

  • as long as you keep it clean, and keep the electronics dry, it will last as long as you need it too.

  • Now will the compressed air work better??? My DYE, is not shotting... any help?

  • yes, it will work better, if you use C02, it will most likely blow your regulator. There could be other problems, but it is most likely your reg, take off the reg, and see if you can find the problem. If not, take to a paintball shop and they should be able to fix it for a reasonable price. You need to use HPA on all guns that use in-lines, like your DYE.

  • thanks man i got a 3000 psi and it is Nitro MYTH, will that work?? And is it the same thing as compressed air?

  • well then i dont get why you have a psp and millenium its just 1 bps difference not that much big of a deal

  • Spyder Pilot 09 or Spyder RT?

  • whats the range on this gun? i wanna use it for speedball and be able to get some good range sniping in woodsball

  • at 300 FPS all guns will have virtually the same range, with the exeption of flatline and APEX. With single shots this gun is very accurate with a good barrel, but with continuous fire the reg doesn't recharge fast enough and velocity fluctuates drastically reducing accuracy, range, and breaks.

  • is it good for woods ball

  • I works pretty well in woodsball if you set it up right, especially if your a front man

  • do you recomend it or is ther a beter gun for under 200

  • you can get an proto SLG basic for 200, that is the only other gun I would recommend in that price range

  • can the proto slg us co2 or is it just hpa and can the spyder pilot us both co2 & hpa

  • no the SLG needs HPA but the spyder will run C02 as long as it is cleaned regularly

  • Dude how the hell do you shoot 25 BPS is that somthing you have to cap it at yourself & wtf is PSP Millineum? Mainly what i wanna know is can change what the gun is capped ar do you have to just pull the trig faster?

  • PSP is where if you can pull the trigger 5 times per second, the gun will shoot a 13 bps. Millenium is the same but at 12bps. You cannot change the cap on this gun. You shoot 25 bps by pulling the trigger 25 times per second. (some people can do it)

  • what shooting mode do you like best? and are there any rocking triggers that i can get for it?

  • I use PSP ramp (fastest firing). You can buy a rocking trigger for it does not have eyes so I wouldn't bother with it.

  • so is it fairly easy to walk the trigger with it?

  • yes, but you must do some adjusting to get it right, and if the trigger pull is too light the recoil of the gun will cause the trigger to keep firing without pulling it, so be careful aobut your adjustment.

  • how do you aim when the gun is on top of your head.Watch 1:36

  • The gun is lined up so the back of the barrel is right between my eyes. This is the best way to aim a paintball gun since it gives you maximum field of view with a very good idea of where the ball will go.

  • replace it with a 9volt on the field

  • dude it shoots 25 ball s

  • in semi-auto, it is capped at 14 in PSP ramp.

  • They eyes prevent the balls etting jammed in the barrel.

  • hes using co2 in this vid duude, and yeah it sais co2 friendly on the box.

  • it has no in-line reg, so C02 works, but during constant firing C02 will cool down, and turn to liquid, and then you must wait for it too heat back up. It is the opposite of overheating.

  • Shoulda got a Vibe.

  • i have a spyder pilot 09 and i use a 14 in cp .693 barrel which is supposed to be one of the best barrels out there for the price. however i keep chopping paint in my barrel and i dont know what to do. please reply

  • make sure that you are using the right size paint. it may say .693, but lower quality paint might be misshaped. Also, clean out your barrel with hot water. Also be sure the paint is not too soft, or too brittle. Also, the gun could be chopping inside the bolt, rather than breaking in the barrel, check it. Try all of this, and yours problems should stop

  • ok ill try thanks

  • I heard you can't use C02 with these guns, and I just ordered one, for 219.99, Canadian. I was wondering if you can use c02, cause i don't wanna have to buy compressed air, there is no where aroudn where i live i can fill them. do you know if it's okay to use?

  • you are buying a spider pilot then yes other guns im not so sure..

  • i just got one... what do the eyes do?

  • Whats better the spider pilot 09 w/eyes or the smart part vibe?

  • the spyder isn't too much better than the vibe, but it does have eyes. the pilot is only $15 more so I bought it

  • i thought about byin it i have a tippman 98 custome so its 160 is wat i saw so thanks man

  • how much waz that

  • 160, you might be able to find it on sale though

  • To change the battery, do you have to open the gun?

  • yes, and no. you need to open the sidegrips, but you don't actually have to disassemble the gun

  • you can adjust the trigger.. there are three holes at the bottom of the black trigger frame, in front of the trigger.. if u look in the manual that comes in the box, it will tell u what each hole/screw is for.. just take the smallest allen wrench that comes in that ziploc bag thing and u can customize your trigger with 3 different things to change..

  • any! this gun has a terrible reg, I don't know any in particular but anything is better than this reg, but the hose as ASA will need to be replaced if you get a new reg due to metric fittings

  • hey, im new to paintball, and ive been checking out alot of markers, you think this would make a good first marker? just looking for suggestions thnx

  • yes, just be sure to invest in a quality loader

  • First you gotta set a price range.

Then you gotta know what speed you want

Then look through guns and find a gun you like the looks of. Then read reviews to find the best gun.

  • haha i just got that gun in the mail today!! stoked!great gun

  • i have the same gun.

but my gun is crap becouse it never shoots even if the eyes are off and i have to hit it on the back for it to shoot but somthing is wrong with mine becouse when i first got it i playd 1 game with it an it was awsome but then i went to jump over a bunker an it slipped outa my hands an started acting dumb.

but when its working its a good gun.

  • it seems like the firing mechanism is jammed. It probably got cracked or misplaced when it fell. But, I don't really know

  • it would be pretty funny if you had a paintball in the hopper when you first shot it.

  • Great review

im thinking bout gettin one but would i need an electric hopper or could i just use a regular one?

  • you could use a regular one and it would not chop that much thanks to the eyes. It wouldn't fire as fast though. I would get an electric hopper, get a hopper that has eyes or a microphone at least. I recommend the VL eye force, or Evolution 3 (eggy). Those two will cost $50-$60. the eye force will give you a larger ball capacity, but will be a bit bulkier, and its a bit ugly. The eggy is lighter and has a lower profile. choose what you need, or you can invest in a more high end hopper.

  • alright thanks alot man

  • How do you regulate the air pressure?

  • do you mean like change the velocity? you just have to screw in or out the little thing on the back of the marker. read your manual if you don't understand. if you lost it then DL it off the spyder website

  • i dident come with mine

  • does it come with the battery and adapter? plz respond

  • no it does not, they want you to pay extra

  • thanks ive been looking 4 a good 09 pilot review

    5/5

  • spyder guns are terrible

  • Nice video man. Ive had my 08 for a while now and i am more than happy with it. It meets my needs perfectly, i dont play ALL the time but i play about every other weekend and the pilot has never failed me.

  • get an ion! this sucks!

  • what are you smoking? the ion completely sucks. this cocky kid at my school has one, and it chops like mad, and since it has no clamping feed neck his hopper falls out when he slides into a bunker.

  • who said it has to be stock?

  • true, but if a stock ion is worse than the spyder pilot 09 stock, than a upgraded ion is worse than an equally upgraded spyder pilot. It isn't really fair to compare upgrades to a stock model. get my logic?

  • hey ve been looking into getting the pilot for awhile i just want to know if it is worth it and is there any problems or anything that i should know about or do anything that can make the bgun better and when u play is it good with that gun

  • it is well worth the money, and make sure you get the 09 not the 08. The only issue is that you must adjust the trigger before using ramping, or the trigger will carry itself away, and shoot without you pulling it due to the recoil, so make sure to increase trigger resistance. I have played a lot with this gun, and it can compete with $800 guns.

  • sorry to bother and why kind of airtank do you recommend using fro the gun

  • compressed air cmon every one knows that

  • you may use C02, but the gun will freeze up after a while of continuous fire in PSP ramp mode. As the gun gets colder, the pressure drops until the point that the gun stops shooting. Get HPA if possible. It will also improve your accuracy since the balls don't get covered with ice as they leave.

  • ure going too far but its a good starter gun i used to have one but i got the invert mini i suggest u get the 09 slg basic for 200$

  • I was going to buy the SLG but at the time I only had access to C02, and I knew the SLG needs HPA. I have HPA now, and am saving up for the Dangerous Power G3

  • no way does it remotley compete with the 800 dollar guns

  • It is really about your skill rather than how much money you spend. You are probably one of those guys who buys a super expensive gun, and because they have the best gun, they think they are better than everyone else.

trust me, I own plenty of people who have egos, and bob long guns. They are dumbstruck as to how my $160 gun beat their $1000 gun. They will accuse me of cheating, or think that their gun was broken. They never admit that I beat them. Not from luck or good equipment but from skill

  • hey i own a 09 pilot i piss poor so dont say i own the best guns and i dont think im the best i just think saying it is an ignorant statement to say it can compete with the 800 guns when it doesnt come close it cant even compete with some of the 200-400 range and u are somewhat right its about skill but having a good reliable gun helps too cuz if u are really good but go out thier with something like a pirana or this gun it will damper ur performance so dont judge me ur mr ignorant

  • u r sooo boring.

  • what do you expect? it is a review, strictly informational.

  • when you first buy gun i usually pull trigger to see how fast i can shoot and with all previous guns without air or co2 it made a clicking noise. Is something wrong if it doesent make that noise on the 09 pilot.

  • yes, mine makes a clicking noise, but make sure you turned the gun on, the safety off, and properly inserted batteries.

  • on min ethe solenoud clikcs so thier mite be something wrong oh and make sure u have a battery in it

  • well u can get one of each so u wont have to buy as many batteries

  • I am just not a fan of rechargeable batteries in paintball guns, its just me. I know quite a few people who like there batteries, but keep in mind the batteries will often fry after a few hundred charges, and after about twenty charges, the life of the battery starts to decrease. Thanks for the comment though

  • If you want to play paintball better you must have a better posture to shoot the gun

  • I do not mean to be rude, but do you really think that is my posture? I was just messing around in my bed room. If I shot like that I would be covered in welts. Anyway, your posture should be whatever works best for you, and gives you the lowest profile. Posture varies from person to person. I personally am short so I don't need to be as tight, but I would still never play in that posture.

  • yes thats true and by the way, nice video
