There is no real debate Queensryche is a bit more vocal and song driven and Fates Warning is a bit more complex musically, more progressive and experimental. Both great bands in their own right!!! Both singers are excellent also. I love both bands but Queensryche is just not the same without Chris Degarmo still good but different. Fates Warning just never gets enough credit though they have put out some really great stuff!!!

Mark Zonder is the best drummer in the galaxy since his first band, warlord. just pay attention on the drums, and you will realize that he makes the same rhythm as the guitar , on every song he plays. No drummer ever can reach his technics.

Lucky I bought this album when I heard "Eye To Eye" several times on the radio around 1990. I bought several of their albums (cd's) since then. I prefer them over Dream Theatre, and over Queensrche after they made Promise Land (last good album by QR). I always say Great White is the most underrated band, but at least they got some respect. Fates Warning has almost no respect, for a truly talented band, with a lot of good songs.

I'm not saying Myung isn't an amazing bassist or even that his bass parts aren't awesome, im just saying that lately they've been turning him down and not featuring him as much on the albums. There are a few exceptions though especially at live performances like Score. But on BC&SL i was really disappointed that he barely even existed on it.

Unfortunately it was in an error where people weren't sure what to promote and bands were a dime a dozen. It's too bad they fell between the cracks.

Labrie has toured twice or maybe 3 times as much as F.W. in the past 15 years it takes a real toll on a mans voice+everybody gets horse or catches a cold sometimes.Dream Theater has put out about twice the amount of albums as F.W.all that studio time on top of touring c'mon.

I like no exit it's just that alder reminded me of an Lou Graham or Steve Perry very unmetal sounding voice which is not bad it just sounded more like hardrock with Alder and more metal With Arch in which I like Arches' Voice much better than Alders'and also you can see a fan base shift with f.w.;the fans of the original line up moved on atleast when you went to the shows.Disconnected was their worst album ever and if frank or Arch were in the band they would never make such a lame duck
