The motor is fine but if they ordered it right they shoud of got a manual in all the service vehicles

@36crazyfists63 if you look on edmands.com which is a very successful website, they rate the F-series over dodge in many categories. Out of most of their list the F150 was on most of them. I'm sure when 2011 reviews come out, the new F250 with the 6.7 or the Chevy 2500 are going to take the cake. each of these guys have new engines that will blow a cummins out of the water. sorry i like cummins but these new 6.7 and 6.6 are pretty powerful

When guys point to Ford for having a bad engine, you should be pointing your finger at NaviStar. Ford just makes contracts with them stating what they want out of the enigne and Navistar builds them.
Cummins does, however, put their engine in the F-650 and F-750 because Ford paid a hefty amount to Cummins to do so, but does not own part of the Cummins Corporation.

Well you can get a 6.4l powerstroke diesel in the f series super duty line. its got 650 ft. of torque and ford trucks can tow and haul more than all other trucks.
Know I know, I drive a 550 with a powerstroke, I was more or less trying to state that Ford doesn't own Cummins, and that people use the fact that Ford uses cummins in their medium duty trucks to back that up....
Cummins is definately better, more reliable and more powerful than the powerstoke, and it makes the power where you need it, in the lower rpm's...if Dodge didn't have the contract, Ford would definately have cummins in all their trucks
first off I'm basing this off of experience, I get to drive that 2005 f550, as well a 2001 dodge ram 3500 cummins, and 2001 chevy 3500 with a duramax... all them have mason bodies, have less than 50k miles on them and pull utility trailors.... out of all three the cummins is defintately the strongest and the power definately comes in before 2,000 rpm's.. Not bashing any of them though...all are good trucks if you take care of them and all have their problems....

@36crazyfists63 well i can asure you that dodge trannies suck. even at my work every dodge has nice slip to them. we have 3. 3500 and 2 1500. 1 of the 1500 is so bad that we just parked and want nothing to do with it. All are techs cust when we have to take the 3500 out on a service call because its gutless and it slips. if i remember right this one has at least 2 trannies into it at 160K. The motor is fine but if they ordered it right they shoud of got a manual in all the service vehicles

I know for sure i wouldnt buy a dodge after looking at those recalls. You keep on talking abou 2010 pickup of the year. well ok in 2009, 2004, and 97 were fords. @Chowmain141 no actually the man he bought it off from was an old man that just used it to get around town not for work. and in 2008 ford recalled the super duty's 2009 recalled 4.5 million vehicles 2010 and 2007 there was a fire hazard. im sure theres more too. thats a lot more then just 06 for dodge and that was near as close to this year as fords recalls are. and dodge got international truck of the year in 2009 too for more then one website and magazine

@36crazyfists63 if you look on edmands.com which is a very successful website, they rate the F-series over dodge in many categories. Out of most of their list the F150 was on most of them. I'm sure when 2011 reviews come out, the new F250 with the 6.7 or the Chevy 2500 are going to take the cake. each of these guys have new engines that will blow a cummins out of the water. sorry i like cummins but these new 6.7 and 6.6 are pretty powerful

Cummins is definately better, more reliable and more powerful than the powerstoke, and it makes the power where you need it, in the lower rpm's...if Dodge didn't have the contract, Ford would definately have cummins in all their trucks

first off I'm basing this off of experience, I get to drive that 2005 f550, as well a 2001 dodge ram 3500 cummins, and 2001 chevy 3500 with a duramax... all them have mason bodies, have less than 50k miles on them and pull utility trailors.... out of all three the cummins is defintately the strongest and the power definately comes in before 2,000 rpm's.. Not bashing any of them though...all are good trucks if you take care of them and all have their problems....

You dont need 30k to make a car faster than a truck. The car weighs less. A HEAVY ASS PICKUP WILL NOT OUT RUN OR HANDLE A CAR WITH LESS HP. WILL NOT. your truck is made to tow pal.
