Isn't it funny how everyone from the Barksdale crew and Stanfield crew were always looking for Omar but couldn't find him but the cops found him in a blink of an eye. The writing slipped up in this part of the story. It should have been more coincidental, like a traffic stop or something, this arrest is totally out of character for Omar's normally allusive persona.
its such a sad scene for Omar, especially at 4:40 on wards you see the scared look in his eyes when butchie's two men enter the room carrying a shank, even though hes putting on a front hes still powerless and looks like hes shitting himself and it almost makes you feel sorry for him and that's why the wire is amazing.

See the guy that comes in with the shank wearing the Kufi cap, he is Donnie Andrews a REAL Baltimore stickup man but is obviously now reformed and helps troubled youths. Omar Little was based in part of Donnie Andrews and other real life Baltimore stickup men.
I think it's brilliant they used Donnie Andrews like this.
I would have loved to have seen the look on Bird's face when Omar walked in. Talk about priceless. That would have been the best cameo in the show.LMAO
it's cool that the guy holding the shank is "Donnie" - the guy that Omar's character is based off of...he also gets killed in Monk's apt in season 5 when Marlo's crew turns a planned ambush on them against Omar...
Oh Boy sho whatin popular in the joint, he robbed soo many peps from the street that he didn't stand a chance behind bars. Just think he was a snitch and gay but a stick up kid at the same time, Go Figure...
@myaangeline apparently it's a motion that federal prisoners may file to challenge their convictions and sentence. so he was probably at a federal prison before then transferred there pending the outcome
"I talked back." Reminiscent of how police deal with 'smart talk' by sending backtalkers to prison and Marlo sending the security guard to the graveyard. It also shows how the streets "police" themselves.
The cops should stop messing with Omar. He's better at taking drugs from dealers than the cops are. The cops too busy beating teen boys half to death.
4:43 Death walks into the door Omar puts his hands up. That was what I liked most about Omar when he spoke he had something worth litening to, and when it was time to act he didn't waste a movement.
A prisoner in custody under sentence of a court established by Act of Congress claiming the right to be released upon the ground that the sentence was imposed in violation of the Constitution or laws of the United States.
and remember when omar see him later, he asked him about it. and he said 'i got out, didn't i'
i thought the wire was based on a real story if the guy in the hat is the real life omar at 4:39 is the real omar in the wire he got popped so then in real life omar doesnt die
well what jail lets them walk around freely like that...its not cuz those dudes had been there for a while. i was in a holding cell till they put me in orang...
lol omar said i need to make a call TONITEEE!!...eeevveerrryyybody hate that nigga. that dude walked in wit that shank, i wuda been like GODD PLEASEE NOOO LOL
Omar scared? I never thought that possible. But then I saw those prison thugs and realise that just about anyone woud be scared. Even the dangerous Chris (with Snoop).
Oh, and with police like Officer Walker walking the streets. Now that's scary.
@DASHAUN06 It's kinda funny you say that. Remember in season one when he was at the the police station giving information on Bird and he said "Omar don't Scare"
@DASHAUN06 i mean who wouldnt be two big dudes walk in one has a shank, you can easily get overpowered and killed, i think omar had a legit reason to be scared but the dude was still gonna fight
The scene where Omar is confronted by Butchie's associates is one of my favorite moments in the series. I love the way the actor simply acknowledges their arrival and puts up his fists. A man must have a code.
