I've always loved Elgar's music. I and the wife were in Hereford two years ago and "discovered" the statue, which I never knew existed. I was very touched by its simlplicity. We spent a lovely day walking around the grounds, visiting the cathedral and lying on the lawn. One of the best days we had in England. i actually used your video on a blog entry about beautiful music & simple monuments vs inflated music and pompous monuments.
Thanks for uploading this. I miss it.

This type of informal 'snapshot' statue is a good way to see a figure from the past.
Today is Elgar's 150th birthday. He seems to be enjoying his day and the view of the Cathedral.
