  • The music in the meeting scene with countess brings back memories of baba yaga in quest for glory 1.

  • Laura would be some of those people that I think WOULDN'T have a Southern Accent.

  • Nice additional stuff.

  • Do you think you could do a walkthrough of this version? But not with the voiceovers in the background(No offense but I don't really care for them). Also, is this the disk version or the CD version?

  • This is the CD version.

As for your other question, sorry, but I don't do walkthroughs/playthroughs. You might want to ask someone like ADVRipper4EVER.

  • But you did a playthrough with the disk version. Also, didn't you also do other playthroughs of other Sierra games?

  • Oh man.... I really didn't realize this Update! Thanks to all of you three again. You are the genuisses of LPing (together with Oocloud??, wc10k, all the SMW Hack Lpers... and so on, hehe). Brilliant!

... by the way, I'm still requesting an LP for Maniac Mansion Mania :P

  • I really like ur lets plays! I just recently got an account, but have watched all ur LPs! ^u^ Anyway, just wanted to suggest KQ2 because no one's done the better version yet.

  • Thanks! :D

Actually, I believe Kijikun did the KQ2 remake. I'm assuming you mean the remake anyway... The original was LPed by takarifreak.

  • Ur welcomes. ^u^

Really? I'll have to look that up. Thx 4 the tip.

  • wow. I remember playing a voice version of this. It was fantastic. I never realized Laura is the same voice as a bit character in Gabriel Knight:Sins of the Fathers. Did you post the whole pc voice game on here?

  • cool, I never talked to Ziggy about the bulb...that was interesting

  • "EEEEE!!!" Hahaha... oh, the Countess....

  • Two things, number 1: your voice for Olympia was spectacular better than the real thing. Number 2: isn't the countess a lesbian, she was the one who was going to meet that girl in the speakeasy.

  • Thanks! :D

Yeah, either the Countess is a lesbian, or she wanted to meet the flapper girl because they were in some shady business together. However, the flapper's quip, "She's married to some museum bigwig, but she can't get enough... Know what I mean?" suggests otherwise.

  • Will this complete the DOAB series? If so, I can't wait to see your Phantasmagoria Let's Play. Will you be doing the voices for those too?

Also, did LateBlt stop doing Let's Plays for now?

  • That's "DOAR." ;)

Unfortunately I don't think it's possible to turn off the in-game voices in Phantasmagoria. Otherwise, yeah, I'd totally try some more voice acting.

LateBlt explained in one of his latest videos that he was (and is) trying to focus on some other things in his life. He's been okay with doing some guest commentary and making a few videos on some obscure games, but overall he really does want to focus on other stuff.

  • Many old games have the audio files separate from other stuff, so you could simply delete those and get rid of the voice acting.

Of course you would need subtitles and I'm not sure how much it'd screw things over if you can't control how much time you have for each line. I haven't played the game so I don't know.

  • Not sure how I managed to not spell that correctly, but thanks for the reply.

  • I am thrilled that my suggestion for an LP is next on your list! :-) I think this one will be awesome. Look forward to it!

  • Speaking of in-game, you'll be playing the game with censorship mode on, right? Will you also be using the in-game hints? Either way, I'll enjoy watching it with you and Resulka commentating it.

  • You're welcome! My mom was one of the first few players to discover this, but for some reason, we all forgot kinda about it whenever one of us would replay it. I was in my late teens before my childhood memories finally kicked in.

Anyway, it's actually nice to see a bit more footage from the CD version. I only have the floppy version, so no voices. Yvette, Najeer and Ernie are the only ones I haven't heard, but that's okay.

BTW, I think ZwobotJones played a better Countess. :)

  • Yeah, I like his version of the Countess better as well. XD Although I have to admit the screaming/squealing from the CD version is also pretty awesome.

  • All my life I knew I'm actually an old British lady.

  • You probably are!

I, on the other hand, am probably a French whore... :(

  • My, daaaaahrling, that must be quite bothersome, I'd say.

  • I think the Cockney accent is the Countess's real accent and the BBC one is her scamming around like she's posh. She speaks like herself when she's startled.

Thanks for showing this to us, HC!

  • Yeah. Come to think of it, I think her accent also slips out during the party when you ask her about knowing Dr. Carrington.

  • You had to mimic the voices too eh? XD

Though it's odd how O'Rieley sounds...I think he sounds more threatening as LateBlt

  • Ah, the Countes...an evil woman from head to feet... Good riddance Barney got her ^_^

  • Hercrabbiness, i like your mouse spasm over the dagger in your inventory after talking to (i.e. offering to give it to) O' Riley :)

  • Wow, your voice for Olympia sounds just like the CD version's voice, good job!

  • That little Trollop!!

  • I think you guys did better voices for the game then the real ones, if only you got money for it, best job ever.

  • Hah, thanks. :)

I agree, I think being a voice actress would be a really awesome job.

  • LateBlt did a better voice for O'Riley....

  • Wow... that Irish accent it's... it's... what the hell?

  • Agreed.

  • A liked the voices in this game. :) Countess sounds like that bird from Alice in Wonderland (Disney) SERPENT!

  • Though I know this doesn't have anything to do with this game... Since you love doing the point and click adventure type games, I think you'd like Scratches. Creepy, but good PC game.

  • I have never heard of that, but I'll check it out, thanks. :)

  • Yeah it's one of those games where you try to solve a mystery but it's like a psychological thriller in a way as well.
