  • imagine if the piece of wood that is holding up the sled fell out...

  • I heard nothen but bad about the snowstuff and the mbrp race can, when i was deciding what to buy for mine, i got the BMP ceramic. Very light, one of the best sounds ive heard. Very deep rumble, and deep when to the bar!! "Not tinny" or hollow.

After the 500 mile mark, the snow stuff starts to fall apart on the inside, have to repack, same for the mbrp race version.

the slp is way to quit, just light weight.

  • hey is that can to loud for the trails

  • @dirtandsnowallday Get the MBRP trail can. It's not as loud but has a nice growl to it. That's what I have on my 03 ZR 900..

  • what jets you runniing in that

  • lol good ol 2 smoke :) nice man

  • how come every arctic cat looks exactly the same since like the year 2000 up?

  • @SpotTheSteez They don't look the same from 2000 up. My 03 ZR 900 looks nothin like the 06 and up. =)

  • @SpotTheSteez they have used the same mountain chasis for years now and alot of the same chasis have been the same in their line.

  • im sure he had it in reverse in case it fell off that rinkety board. I'd hate to see a pretty sled like that run through a garage wall. But then again that would make one hell of a video. lol. nice sled.

  • ur an idoit i was waiting for the board to slip out and for the sled to go flying into the garage lol but sounds nice!

  • it was in revers duu, and yes sounds amazing

  • sled sounds sweet. I have the same thing and i dont know wether to go with mbrp or sno stuff....have u had any trouble with the dnr?

  • sounds sick man

  • That sled sounds great. Just bought an 04 zr 900. It's all stock but still hauls ass. My buddy has a 04 viper 700 tripple. How do u think he will match up?

  • the 700 triple will hold up well in the short run, but you will pass him like he is standing till once you hit 50 mph!

  • How much do these sell for? This is probably the only Cat I would consider selling my Doo for.

  • My friend is selling his do to illness. The asking price is $3400. Has reverse with about 2500 miles. Check mine out! They are awesome sleds and you would love it if you can find one.

  • I got the same stand.. sounds good man.

  • lol

  • i like your "post" jack!

  • about 150hp out of the box, with a little tuning 170hp no problem.

  • How much stock horsepower do these ZR9's have???

  • suzuki <3

  • sound really loud

  • Is it just me or is the sled in reverse? It may just be my eyes.

  • it does look like that but no it's not , kinda freaky,

but no reverse option on this one.

    reverse=weight

    more weight less speed.

  • and crank problems ya if you run something at 8200 rpm and throw a belt you are gonna bend something no matter what you are driving.were talking about about a 900 twin not t-cat, so who cares if they went up in flames, look zman900r has some vids i think every one should look at , just keep watchin the 900 speedo ones he'll show you how fast they wrap around and his is stock.

  • Sorry about leaving this shit all over your page man........me and bobp53916 were arguing about whos got the better triple SRX or TCat and thats why we were talking about 900 triples...........and yah, I know other sleds are fast, but your just stupid or lying if you say SRX 700 isn't....if you are an avid snowmobiler than you really do know better....theres plenty of SRX vids on here including mine, check it out for yourselfs..............

  • I never said the SRX wasnt quick, but, Cat makes the fastest triples, for a fact.

  • ok wow you 700 is the cock of the walk!!!!

comon, how much have you dumped into you suspension to make it ride like a westside hore?

ya everyone has crank probs, but mine has 3500 on it and not a bump, has even blown a belt at high speed. get off that boat anchor and get on something that moves, you talk about beating a f7, wow all i have is a clutch kit and i can do that, ok you get out of the hole, i'm studded also,

  • oh i forgot, the 700 is a triple right? i'll help tow you home when you burn the center piston out of it.

  • Cool video, sounds pretty good

  • Fuckin right its a triple........which means it runs a fuck of alot more efficiently than any big boat anchor twin out there......burning the center piston out was a Ski-Doo thing because they used a mono block, Yamahas never had that problem.........and after that tank engine twin shakes its self off the motor mounts I'll tow ya home...don't worry

  • They might not be good for burning pistons, they are good for busting cranks. I've personally seen an 03 F7 take an SRX multiple times, I raced the same person with my 02 Thundercat and it was even a race.

  • Where did the F7 take the SRX??? On the 1/4 mile 600ft 1000ft??? were the sleds stock or mods??? was it on a lake or hard pack trail or powder??? there are so many factors to take into account........my SRX is clutched with 144 picks I honestley doubt an F7 would take me out of the hole on the 1/4 mile....and as for speed runs I know mine will do 200+K/HR............

  • Across the lake top speed, wasnt much over a 1/4 mile and the F7 was ahead of him, and his F7 is stock. Race a Thundercat sometime if you think your little 700 is the fastest thing out there, you'll get a good view of the tailight. And one more thing, all these cats arent just fast, they have a very good suspension for trails and ditches, unlike your SRX, which is good for one thing, going in a straight line.

  • My SRX doesn't have the usual setup. Ohlins racing shocks all around and I changed the rear spring for a little more comfort on the trails..and your sadly mistaken if you think an SRX is only good for one thing..it's like a slot car on rails in the trails with the picks and 8" carbides and like I told you before I'm clutched so I come out of the corners like a fuckin rocket..for its time/era it puts the other sleds to shame including Thundercats which really were only good for straight lines...

  • Tcats have 13 1/2" travel compared to your what 8 1/2"? And TCats arent good on the trails? Good one...If you think your SRX is such a badass in the 1/4 mile, check out some videos by WoodysOutdoorPower with the STOCK Thundercat at 133mph in the 1/4. Your sled aint no badass.

  • I never said that Tcats weren't a very fast sled I almost bought one my uncle used to own one and it hauled serious ass....I'm saying that the SRX is a better alround sled...its fast, handles good in the twistys, better gas milage and is very reliable...all the TCat has going for it is speed, they like all AC's required too much maintenance blowing up and what not....

    SRX 700, 4.5/5 IMO

    TCat 1000, 3/5 IMO

    I've ridden both I know..............

  • I've ridden an SRX, they have shit suspension and are heavy for a 700. If Yamaha was smart they would have put the same suspension as the SXR in them, then it would be alright. Atleast Cat put good suspension in all of them. As far as Yamaha being reliable, what about the crank issues they had? I believe there was even a recall. 99% of the Yamaha triples I see being parted out are because of broken cranks, hows that reliable?

  • HMMMM..my 01 SRX has never had any problems with the crank..I wonder how many AC motors have had engine issues over the years LMFAO..to many to count LoL..don't even mention weight, the Tcat was a fuckin tank compared to the SRX, that must be why they ate so much gas and oil LoL..I seem to remember hearing storys of Jamies 01 Tcat and its mechanical blunders and blowups..he thought he was doin a good thing buying the z1turbo...and again with the problems in his own words (shoulda got an Apex)LoL

  • They might be heavy, but the still walk all over your Yami's, even the Z1's arent as fast as the older TCats and they still spank your Yami's, Ski donts and Poo's. Your obviously avoiding certain sibjects here, your shit suspension, what about the recall on the cranks? I bet you my little 440 Sno Pro would hang right with your big bad 700 out of the hole. And thats just a little 440. Which is also alot better all around sled than your SRX. Since your such a Cat expert, what engine problems?????

  • I'm not avoiding anything........I explained to you that my suspension has the Ohlins race shocks and that I swaped the rear shock spring for a better ride on the trails...the suspension is actually kick-ass.....and I also told you that my 01 has not had any issues with the crank shaft...although I do recall reading somewhere that the 99's had crank issues which were addressed in 00' and there for my 01 is solid as a rock in that department........

  • What engine problems??? How about ignitng in flames...the early 900 T Cats were known for that...the list goes on and on LoL

Oh and just so you know..the SRX didn't achive legendary status because it couldn't beat 440 LMFAO get real.......

  • Legendary status?? OMG, you are a retard. There was nothing legendary about them. Just because you put good shocks on a shit skid doesnt make it a good suspension. How much travel does it have? 8.5"?? And it wasnt the 99's I was referring to, 02 Vipers were bad for cranks also. A sled that goes up in flames means it had engines problem, hmmm, I've see lots of sled go up in flames and not because of engine problems. I think you lied about your age, pretty sure your only 12.

  • No, I'm 24 you can check my facebook profile if you like.....And for your info cats have had that prob more than once......just bad enginering I guess......and your fuckin right the SRX 700 is a legend...if you ever get away from your computer and take your ass to a speed or radar run you will see them there still kicking ass to this day....due to the fact that they respond really well to mods, because of Yamahas superior engenering........

Fuck Arctic Scrap aka Shitty Kitty aka Scrap Cat .....

  • Legend in your own mind. Anytime you wanna find out how fast it is let me know, just bring your pink slip. You said the list goes on and on, lets hear it, expert. I think your full of shit, you aint got no sled, your not even old enough to have liscense let alone own a sled.

  • If you have a facebook account you can add me if you don't think I'm old enough and then you can check it out for yourself....

  • I've done a little research for you.....this is a quote from supertrax mag

In the late 90's Yamaha needed sizzle. In what was thought a risky move, Yamaha re-introduced a name with legendary past: SRX. The 700 erased any doubts about the companys ability to generate raw, bare chested Horsepower. An amazing triple-piped-triple with reed induction, cable activated exhaust valves and a knock sensor made viscious power so unrepentant it felt as if the motor wanted to crawl out from under the hood

  • Heres a quote from Maxsled about the Z1, And TCats are faster than the Z1's.

"Depending upon rider weight and in the snow conditions we ran them in, the radar showed anywhere between 107 and 112 mph. The closest competitor was the Yamaha Apex at a consistent 2-3mph slower still respectable. Ski-Doos 800R showed a consistent 8-10 mph slower and the Polaris FST was about 13-14 mph slower. The Z1 turbo does this with 177 HP on a turbo-lagless twin cylinder 1050cc EFI 4-stroke. Winner."

  • Just to show that I am not biased here is the quote regarding the T Cat 900:

It was the early 90's and the sport was obsessed with power.

Detractors waved sabers in disgust. Sudenly, AC introduced a 900cc, 163hp, 100ft/lb pound triple cylinder triple piped case reed reactor. Supertrax reasonedthe 900 was a reasonable power choice in the hands of a seasoned pilot. HMMM. Motorhead Mark remembers spitting a large chunk of camoplast out the snowflap at the C-note at Kevlar Lake His comment

  • Quote part 2:

it was exciting. In retrospect it was probably too much motor for the chassis. The batmobile displayed an eerie tendency to fly the front end at 110 MPH-without a head wind. Although we never heard of a blow over we considered it a possibility on more than one occasion.

An unspeakably potent mill that changed the sport in a profound way Love at first bite.

  • Now, understand that I am not some biased prick with a beef against Arctic Cat.

Like I said I almost bought a Thundercat but for me the SRX fit the bill.....better gas milage, lower oil consumption, cheaper insurance, slot car handling in the twistys and still spank ass fast on the lake........

  • Admit it, Cat makes the fastest triples....If your an avid snowmobiler as you claim, you obviously know this to be true...

  • When do we get to see a video of this Thundercat of yours???

  • Dont have any, I'll gladly send you pictures of what a real sled looks like though.

  • Well why don't you do that then........

  • Where do ya want them sent? Be glad to show ya..

  • Can you send them to my Youtube account or do you need my Email.............

  • Message me your email and I'll send you some pics of COOL sleds....

  • Part 2 of quote

Go to a speed or radar run today and you'll still find these overachiving triples. Clearly the most potent 2-Stroke ever built by Yamaha, this one is a legend.

  • If the list goes on and on, lets hear it. Your obviously a sled expert. Enlighten me on why Cats are junk. Let me know when you wanna find out how fast my Thundercat is compared to your little 700, Put your money where your mouth is, dont forget to bring the pink slip.

  • You name the time and I'll name the place........

  • You put up your pink slip and I'll name the time.

  • I own 6 Cats and not one takes any more maintenance than any other sled. You talk like your little 700 is the baddest thing out there, well it isnt even close. Cat makes the fastest sled out there, plain and simple.

  • Ya maybe if your comparing them to a ski-doo, the only thing worse than a Cat LoL and theres a good reason why the only mods on my sled are clutch and picks its all I need because no AC can touch me....plain and simple........

    YAMAHA SRX 700 #1...............

  • Shows how stupid you actually are...And thats probably all you could afford...

  • you have to be kidding to think a srx is going to take a F7, I ride with three srx's, all have skilled riders on them and all have more studs than my F7, one has a gutted air box and tuned carbs, its a good race but not one can keep up with me across a lake or in the twisties, your nuts if you think your going to touch a 900 t-cat

  • Even if I couldn't beat an F7, which I could, I would fly buy it eventually when its broken down on the side of the trail......

  • You raising hell with people again?? Damn Yamaha guys...

  • fly by if you can get the damn thing started when it below zero lol., we all know every brand has there problems, and I'll be the first to admit that yami make a durable motor as well as cat, I'm just telling ya my runs with the srx's, they are fast, and they handle good on a groomed trail, but get them in some deep snow, or a rough trail and you be done for the day.

  • Your absolutley right, they are not deep snow sleds........I've bought a 1,25" shotgun-x track in hopes that it will help in the powder, I've got a pair of 6" USI's on the way too....I just hope I don't loose any of that groomed trail handling...

  • I got a set of C@A's wit h 9" stud boys and a 1.5" lug and the skis made a huge differance in the handling, I think you will love the changes. Now if you can just talk you into coming to the dark side and buying a cat you'll have it made lol

  • Hey you never know.....those CFR 8's look pretty damn good now that they have that 800 HO.....if I was to go out and spend the money on a new sled that would be one of my considerations.....AC is the only other OEM I would consider...

  • Comment removed

  • Havent you ever heard the saying "If your not driving a cat, it must be a dog"?

  • No I havent heard that...its a good one though...LoL

  • LoL......No, he is raising hell with me......Damn Cat lovers......LoL

  • Why dont you just admit that Cat makes the fastest production sled to date??? Any avid snowmobiler knows this to be true...

  • I'm well aware that AC makes the fastest production sled................

  • Why don't you just admit that Yamaha makes the most reliable/solid/dependable sleds to date???

    We all know its true....

  • I would admit it if I knew it to be true...but I dont...

  • C'mon man....give me somethin, all you need to do is watch a couple episodes of Johnny Skeptical and you'll be convinced and converted...LoL

  • Yamaha makes a pretty reliable sled except for the Vipers, and the SRX's were fast for a 700.

  • Why were the Vipers not reliable???

  • They had a problem with cranks breaking...Theres was even a recall, they were breaking on the center and the end of the crank.

  • Yeah, recalls are a bitch and absolutley detramental to a companys reputation...good thing Yamaha hasn't had to many of them.....

  • Funny how vehicles made in Japan, or by them, never "officially" have any problems.

  • Ya the SRX's were fast.....they ruled everything in the 700 and 800 class for as long as they were made...

  • Comment removed

  • I don't know about how reliable there sleds are but I have a 1979 yz 80 i used to race that still runs lol

  • I see that you removed your other comment but it still went to my Email inbox so...to answer your question there are plenty of vids of SRX's doing wheelies, lake runs, trail riding etc...look at my Favorites on my page all the best SRX vids are on there..

  • yeh i started to look for them and found a whole stack (thats why i removed the comment) they have a couple of really cool videos

  • Look, your little 700, may make you feel big, but do the math man, 200 more cc in a twin with very little weight difference, my 900 will wrap the speedo around in seconds, i could push you to

110 mph faster then you could get there.

  • That 200cc doesn't mean shit, look at the 900 Polaris Con-Fusion.............its all about how efficientley the engine runs with what it has to work with........if you had a 1000 AC Thundercat triple I would think twice...but this p.o.s. twin doesn't scare me.............

  • My SRX 700 owns all you Shitty Kittys...

  • Nice, Yamaha owns

  • After 2 miles the SRX finally builds up enough speed to go by..i had one, yes they have more topend then most ZR900's but lowend/midrange is the ZR's domain.

  • I dissagree.........from what I have seen an F7 can take a ZR and I know than an SRX can take a F7......so do the math on that one and get back to me..........

  • I've seen more slow F7's than fast ones. Reread my other reply, low-mid is the 900's territory, well my 900 anyway. Just speaking on what I've seen with my own 2 eyes.

  • netefrog, how old are you 12? Your SRX is a tanker with a shit suspension. I know for a fact it wouldnt beat an 03 F7. TOOL!!!

  • And I know for a fact that it would and it has takin out F7's.........fastest stock sled in the quarter mile 01 SRX 700 cant argue with that...........

Oh ya check my profile i'm 24..........FYI

  • i got a zr 900 stock and it beat a cross fire 1000 but mine sounds way diffrent! wait 4 the snow dude

  • sweet machine radar 13, i have a 2003 zr 800 efi , i want to do a rumble pack , v force reeds, slight cluth, does this require a fuel control box for efi .thank you

  • all that is fine, should put bullseye or power breathers in for better airflow, these are awesome sleds, i like my 04 900 alot more than my 05 f6

  • it's fast, i have some more tweaking to do to it yet though!!!

  • i bet that sled hauls ass

  • lol they do my dad has 1

  • It does sound, but you're crazy revving that thing out with it up like that!!! Made that mistake once, but there was nothing in front of me.
