I agree with alot of you in that I would to see the Ricky brought back into live use. I know that a large part of the Hofner's use is it's lore, but I also have to wonder if weight might not be an issue. He's no spring chicken anymore, and given the length of the shows he's still playing, I would have to think that the Hofner is just more comfortable over the long haul. Just guessin' !

@eteachout The Ricky Bass represents his 70s wings period,and the Hof represents his 60 Beatles period.most of the audiences he plays to now,are more 60s attached,so he carries the Hoff,but i agree with you,i wish he would carry the Ricky again,nobody ever looked as good with it.It was iconic,like Hendrix with the strat.Paul first used it in ,all you need is love,or was it even before?

I absolutely love this song! European crowds listen to the music, they don't scream and shout as much as American crowds. They love the music just as much though!
