I'm searching for a small pre amp, i saw this a lot of time ago, but now i'm very interested, i'm going to buy a b7k, but before to complete the operation i want to tell you if is possible with this pre amp to make a smooth sound, fat, ideal to pop music, can i make these souns with this pedal?
@dbaSS94 Hey, thanks for your comments! In my experience, the B7K can do most of the tones required by modern music (except maybe too fuzzy tones). But from totally clean, to wild distortion, you should be covered. Anyways, we have a 100% satisfaction policy, so once you buy it, if you don't freakin' love it. I really hate demo videos on YouTube selling the qualities of a particular audio item when they are compressed to 240p!!!!! Please please please re-upload at a reasonable bitrate otherwise no amount of good headphones or monitor systems will do the trick. :-D
@darkglasseffects Terve Porista! As soon as I am able to afford anything, this is high on my want list. The dirty tones are fantastic. What amp was this preamp driving?
@user1104 Hehe, I like them personally! But the Grunt switch will be useful if you want to get similar sounds with hotter pickups, you can cut down the low end grit with this switch to keep things under control! Cheers! Doug.

Is this pedal sensitive to the players dynamics? I'm used to applying a soft touch for a smooth sound while digging in for more grind.

Absolutely! Is one of the things most of our customers tell us! That they have absolute control over the amount of drive right at their finger tips!
You can check the Microtubes B3K sample by Will Davies, it shows a bit better the dynamic response of the Micrrotubes!

@user1104 Is a Mexican Fender Jazz Bass V Deluxe. All though this bass has a 3 band EQ, it was set flat during the whole demo. Regards! -Doug.
