  • It takes a certain lack of character to vandalize a church, abandoned or not - And a realy sick person to vandalize a cemetery. The writing underneath the pentagram pretty much says it all.

  • @CoolBreezeClub that's... Umm... Interesting...

  • I once dated a goth chick who liked to have sex in graveyards and churches. I thought it was somewhat creepy at first, but it was a really great experience. I miss those days....

  • I find old abandoned buildings to be sad, especially a church with a cemetery. Old cemeteries are cool to visit though, this one has a lot of character to it

  • There is no such thing as a creepy church and a cemetery.

  • There was an old church that looked very similar to this one in my town called Mount Bethel is was built around 1803 and abandoned 1907 when it mysteriously burnt only 5 people were in the church's congregation in 1906 and they abandoned it in 1907 and even the bricks burnt but the books and stuff inside didn't anyway the cemetery is in the middle of town and abandoned no one notices it

    thanks great vid!!1

  • Hey a very similar church to this one called Old Mount Bethel Church existed here in Greeneville. anyway the church has been gone since 1907 it had only 5 people in the congregation in 1907 and the church mysteriously caught fire and even th brick burnt which is odd the old cemetery stands in the middle of town abandoned and forgotten very few even notice it its sad really all that remains of the church are the steps i have a vid up of the cemetery

    great vid!

  • I'm from Strasburg, PA (Lancaster County) Anyone ever check out some of the abandoned structures in Holtwood?

  • i am from lititz,pa and now live in seattle, wa. oh how i miss the history of the east coast. there's not a lot of history out here on the west coast. i found out that this past spring on the corner of 501 and owl hill road, they tore down a beautiful historic house to build a new building. what a shame

  • Me and my one friend used to go here at night. It was pretty cool.

  • This is soo sad, especially the 3 year old girl and her baby sister who died. :(

  • while you where showing the clip of the chruch there was a lady standing in the door way and well she wasnt pleased that you where fliming her home where and where she died and her name is sofey landcaster and well is not very happy i just i would you know that ok

  • Subscribe to my channel and ill post ur channel on my facebook, i have about 1000 friends!

  • thats the kind of cool stuff i wish i could find but can u tell me where there are abandoned houses in lancaster thank uuu

  • Cool cementery! It's been hard finding one like that where I live

  • my cousins live in that area and i live like an hour or to from lancaster

  • I would love to see this great piece of history for myself if anyone has directions. great video by the way.

  • Very true - it's the living to be fearful of. otherwise there wouldn't be vandalism.

  • old abandoned place like this are always fun to check out. i like them very much.

  • Well some is cutting the grass

  • Looking at those timbers holding that church up I would say it was scrapped for the wood. Those huge ancient timbers made a bunch of high end hardwood flooring. Shame

  • I dont understand why everyone is so quick to tear down old buildings. if anything, we should be doing whatever it takes to keep the buildings there.

  • @dirtyfrank81 its america dude and i think it has to do with the economy nowadays n saving money it really does suck

  • I used to live in this huge house that was built in the 1820's. It used to be a school, but was converted and divided into three houses in the 1960's. It was a really beautiful building, with a huge garden, and it was in really good condition. The only problem was, at night it was as creepy as hell! Not in the way it looked, but the way it FELT. I swear it was haunted... My brother claims he saw two little girls dressed in Victorian clothes skipping down the upstairs hallway... :O

  • @BigHeartedBrit i can completly relate to that i live in a 1856 house and i was just bored n screwing around with my camera when my door shut automaticly, dont believe me check out my video proof of a ghost at fowleriva u tube channel n go to the vid that says haunted house and its about 1.25 min long it was creepy it was even in november when it was cold so i had no windows open or any thing

  • I snuck into the cemetery late at night to visit my father's grave on All Souls Day. I lit a candle for him and sat there on the grass over his grave for a considerable amount of time with him. There wasn't anything spooky about it at all. Actually, I found the cemetery to be a very peaceful place to be even late at night. It's not the dead ones you have to worry about, it's the live ones that will try to get you every time!

  • @MegaTmarshall Very true!

  • @MegaTmarshall how right you are. what a great comment.

  • @dirtyfrank81 It sounds like you've had a little experience with a few "live ones" too, huh??? lol No, I can't say that I've had any real problems with a "dead one" as of yet. However, I did get many orbs in my photos on special occasions in the following months after my father passed away. This happened on both film and digital and on other peoples' cameras (including my own). The dining room lights also flashed on and off for my mother on their 55th anniversary. I guess true love never dies.

  • @MegaTmarshall

Hi! I have family members buried there, too, they owned farms surrouning the cemetery, The Sides family..........it is a shame that people are disrespecting that cemetery because thy think it is hunted. I, too, find it very peaceful. Do you know who the owners are of it today?? I am trying to raise funding against vandalism. Thanks!!! Dana ( Sides ) Bury~ dana.bury@yahoo.com

  • @01moonchick Greetings from Canada! Actually I was talking about a different cemetery where my father is buried. I'm sorry for the confusion but I was speaking about the peacefulness of cemeteries in general. I don't know why people think that cemeteries are so spooky because I always feel very much at peace whenever I go there to pay my respects. Good luck with your funding against vandalism...it's a worthy cause! Why some vandals target the dead, I have no idea. Take care Dana.

  • @MegaTmarshall Until the zombie come.. *

  • Can you tell us what is the music please?

  • lovely piece of music :-)

  • Tbh, I dont see how this is really that scary...:o

  • Thank you for Upload !!

  • great vid check out some of my cemetery videos!

  • i LOVE the music

  • btw, thank you for document this important piece of lancaster county history before it was lost to the ages.

  • Drove past that site this past saturday. I don't recommend going down that road in a car. Nothing less than a truck will do (4wd if it's rained recently). One time we were riding along in my buddy's escort in the middle of the night. My buddy missed the cruve and we went rocketing onto that road at a high rate of speed. Was serious dukes of hazzard shit there.

  • forgot the what and yeah plues 12

  • you want to know if it was haunted ? ask joe , tim or debbie. "have you come for me ?"

  • damn a pentagram!!!

  • beautiful!

Please post the name of the music...deeply appreciated.

  • @spear913 get what? im sorry im just curious

  • omg a ghost at 0:38!!!! lol jk XP

  • lol that caught me too =P

  • Very good! It's a shame it had to be torn down. Have you ever visited a graveyard at night. It' very errie and scary.

  • Thank you!! Actually this is the only graveyard I have visited at night, and it was when the church was still there. That was really creepy. If you liked this, check out my other cemetery video..By the way, I loved yours!!

  • Cool! I'll check it out and leave a comment. Thanks! It's a graveyard a few minutes away from my place. It's not abandoned. I have been in the graveyard at night as well. Scary as heck coz we heard noises comeing from the crypt that was there.

  • A pentagram on the wall of the church at 1:11, such a shame what vandals do to places. Awesome video, I love places like these.

  • Thank you. Yeah it was a little disturbing the first time I walked in there and saw that!

  • Yeah, i hate that kinda vandals and dislike satanic people >:(

painting that in a church is a Shame.

  • That bothered me too. But sometimes kids don't realize what they're doing when they do this too.

  • Both you, and the Vandals who did that misunderstand what a pentagram is. All those Irish folk living up the mountain from that church could tell you that while it's a religious symbol. The filth that you spew about it is uncalled for. Satanist ARE Christians, by the way. They believe the same thing as Catholics. The Pentagram is a Pagan symbol. Satanists are NOT Pagans. Fun Fact: openly or not, most Irish are Pagans in one way or another and most of the Christians out there never realize it.

  • @TheDullahan You speak the truth. I find it funny how a symbol of purity can be so easily perverted just by turning it upside down. But then again, I suppose its not the direction of the symbol, but what connotations people put on it when it is upside down.

I also find it amazing how so many people fail to gain knowledge about Wicca and The Craft, especially in todays society where any info you want is right at your fingertips. Christians believe what they see in movies too much... Read Books.

  • Ah, the direction of the symbol. Many cultures across the world used the symbol and they used it with two crests on top or one. The only reason why the symbol because associated with Satanism is that any symbol associated with Paganism was considered Satanic. This, being a prominent symbol, just lucked out as the most infamous. The main problem that Kings and Barons had with Paganism, prompting the Crusades, is that they had desirable land and they used religious indifference to amass armies.

  • cool video

  • Well done, great music. One of my favorite locations: The Forgotten Flesh.

  • you should see if its haunted

  • This was very well done! A piece of Lancaster Co. History I didn't know about.

    You guys do good work!

  • Thank you!! I know if anyone will appreciate my work, it'll be you!!!
