@kompaOmar do yourself a favor and head over to djtechtools. there are tons of tutorials and demonstrations on there about traktor among other things, and it might be sort of enlightening to see why many people prefer it. I for one prefer traktor because of it's versatility, ease of use with midi controllers and lower price :p

btw, i own an X1 and it is the farthest thing from cheap and tacky. :]

it may well be the best out there but it isnt as good as it needs to be. the timecoding is so sloppy i dont know how they expect anybody to rely on those the only thing they are good for is messing around at home. as for the software its self.... the syncing on that isnt great either i am constantly having to adjust it with my kontrol x 1. basically it hasnt got shit on conventional mixing i am sad to say.

A lot of users overlook the fact that you need to invest some time to set the Beat grids correctly otherwise the sync and looping features will not stay synced and quantized.once the Beat grids are set correctly the sync and looping is rock solid.

If you want to use 4 decks successfully you need to check the Beat grid alignment ofyour track library otherwise you will end up in trouble.

@gian0pa well what makes it different is that you do not have to map it at all,u can change the mappings to your own personal preference but its just not required.it just works straight outta the box just plug and your good to go.the only one thing i did not like abt this controller is they should have not labled the fx's section on the unit instead put in either a dot matrix or led display.but over all its AMAZING :)

@hanselc9982 a lot of other controllers work out of the box as well. there is a wizard on traktor to select your controller and load the settings. otherwise you can download it from the manufacturer and load into traktor.

@GermanTechnoBoy Native Instruments Kontrol X1. It's a controller for Traktor Pro or Traktor Scratch Pro. If you look and stop and start the video with your space bar, you can see it. It's between 1:18-1:20. They only show it for a split second. If you want to learn more about it, just go to the native instruments site. I have one myself. Best thing. Looking to get another one.
