peace love & happiness 2 you thxs i did my big chop 3weeks ago.. i have a not so bad TWA with my natural curls i cant really twist my bad mainly my front any tips.. thxs
i am really considering the BC but soo nervous.. These videos have really helped me try to deal with my hair... my mother passes away when i was four & my father remarried us into a hispanic family so noone really knew how to deal with my hair so now its soo damaged from perms and weaves... So if anyone has any tips please inbox me or let me know because i am moving in a month and i am going to start my own channel.. Thanks for the great tips and advice ladies
I just wanted to message you and let you know how much you have inspired me through my natural hair care journey!! Ive been watching you for a while now and you so ROCK!!
Thanks so much ! this is a great vid. I do use them products. I was trippin my hair was hard to handle its not as long as your so im limited..keep the vids coming.. just subbed..blessings Doll
Omg I needed these tips I decided to look for some videos to help me cause I was about to lose my mind trying to manage this hair I have been natural for like 15 months but have been wearing braids so I was not ready for my hair and I did ehat you sd not to do trying to deal with it dry thankyou so mich for posting this video I am not gonna chpp it off or perm it ill try the brush and wetting it first
I have a satin pillow case. Is that okay for me to not use a satin bonnet? I have big chop so my hair is REALLY short so I can't twist my hair up yet. I'm going to dye it, but it's really dry and I need to learn how to keep it moisturized.
i loev your video!! very insightful i was wearing my hair naturally but treating it wrong..but what brush did u say or how do you spell it i couldnt understand
IM NEW TO NATURAL HAIR SO THANKS FOR THE TIPS! IT MADE ME REALLY THINK ABOUT WHAT I DO AND DONT DO FOR MY HAIR, LIKE TYING IT DOWN B4 BED! I NEVER DO THAT BUT I MOST DEF WILL NOW. THANKS AGAIN. YOU ARE SO SWEET
I have a BAD habit of running my fingers thru my hair when its dry and then there's broken hair all over my pillow..it's like when I'm watching tv or doing homework and it's curly .....thanks for this vid!
@lakerry awe you should wear an silk scarf or you could always get an silk pillow cover from Sallys that way when you're hair rubs against the silk it's (less) or NO breakage, because if you're pillow case if cotton n u rub against it with you're head while laying down or whatever it breaks off !
@zaainathefirefly girl I have most of those products under my cabinet and haven't used them...I'm gonna try your tips...I'm all about going green...Thanks sis!
Some of the products I used include: Carrot Oil, "African Pride Maximum Growth Oil", and" Taliah Waajid the Great Detangler". Over the course of this year, I've spent nearly $100 in trial and error. Also my hair stimulator vitamins has triple my hair growth.
This is one of the most helpful videos I've seen on YT for natural hair. I just recently decided to go natural and I'm kinda scared to be honest. Thank for the tips!
I understand the importance of twisting or braiding up every night, but what does one do right after the big chop when your hair is too short and twisting requires an insane investment in time?
@cdineb when I big chopped my personal routine I did as I do now but without the braiding and twisting consisted of washing my hair weekly conditioning and moisturizing and sealing with an oil and cover my hair with a satin or silk bonnet. In the morning I would spritz with water and apply moisturizer or oil as needed. It is essential to keep your hair with a satin or preferably silk scarf or pillow case. Hope this helps good luck!
PS: Co-washes also helps with maintaining curl pattern
I have a question...did you say we have to use conditioner often? Alone or combined with shampoo everytime? I'm asking this because I read something on websites about girls who don't use shampoo but only conditioner...I still don't really get it, I don't know what's good for me.
Very helpful video. I'm in the process of growing my relaxer out. I'm 5 months into my transition and I have been breaking rule #1. Working with my hair after it's already dry. My hair becomes so tight that managing it was frustrating me to the point that I almost went out and bought a perm. Thanks to your video I now know better. Your tips will make my journey a little easier.
Yesss!!!!! I just found your channel.. I've been natural for a year and I got so fustrated yesterday with this mane of mine that I looked at my clippers because I was about to shave it off!!!! thanks for the tips... really helpful (love the twist out & color)
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your life to make this video. I wrote every thing you said down and will follow them from here on out. It makes so much sense to do all this since I just did the big chop myself and currently caring for my natural hair on my own for the first time. These tips were greatly needed, and I can't wait to see the results. =o)
I love, love, love your hair and color. I am 56 years young and have transition to natural hair from years of perms and Love it!!! Thanks for the tips since with this video and keepitsimplesista, I am learning so much on how to take care of my hair. I had my firs twist out, but it didn't look like yours, but I'm not giving up. Thanks for all the tips you give, keep rocking that color and style. God bless!
What color and what brand do you use on your hair to colored it? Also what color was your natural hair before you colored and did you lighten your natural hair before you colored?
Your color took really well. I have been natural for about a year and a half. I tried to get it dyed straightened and the lady burnt my hair out (with the straightener). I still want to dye it, but I don't want to bleach it. I'm still trying to find a way to wear my hair, so it's been braided. Apparently that's bad for it. I hope you'll keep putting up videos of your journey.
Thank you so much for this. When I first did the Big Chop I was so lost. I was never given any tips. But I survived and I love my journey!!

Quick question..... Oil and water do not mix, so is there anything else that you are putting in your water bottle?
313angie1 1 week ago
@313angie1 All you gotta do is just give the bottle a shake before you spray. That way the water and oil will emulsify a little. :)
