Oh geez, I hope those children will recover and not learn that the abuse was acceptable. The mother should be locked away forever and I doubt she is grieving. I wonder if the kids were afraid of their mother too so they did what she told them to do fearing they get the same treatment as their sister? Does anyone recall the Elisa Esquerdio story? I think that 6 year old child was raped, sodomized and beaten by her mother, Awilda Lopez back in 1995. If Elisa was alive today she would be turning 20 years old this coming Feb. 2010. This story kind of reminds me of Eliza. It's shocking to say the least that a recent study has shown that women make of 64% of all child abuse cases. It's so foul what mothers do to their own flesh and blood.

First of all, someone needs to kick the crap out of Melanie's parents on a regular basis. Put them in general population at jail, the other prisoners know how to deal with them. Even the most brutal of murderers don't tolerate baby killers. Then, someone PLEASE get help for Melanie's brothers and sisters. They were taught that violence and murder are acceptable, in dealing with other people. If something is not done for them, this nightmare will continue on and on.
