As the manufacturer, I just wanted to add that, as a 4-iron length, we don't recommend it for any loft lower than a 4, which matches your observations about it not hitting as well below that. We also make telescopic drivers, 3-woods, hybrids, wedges, and putters for those who want portability with the performance of the more traditional length, weight, and head-shape of the "non-iron" clubs. Also wanted to mention, the lever can be adjusted so it is more parallel with the face.
