Nice overview of what Google is up to (browser as the client, cloud as the server, more connectivity&users via mobile devices) and what are the latest developments (Android, App Engine, OpenSocial, GWT, Gears and all the APIs) to get there.
If you need an overview of what technologies Google is mostly working recently - this is a nice overview.
