  • Z06 is king just hand over the crown it has 6 years of slaughterung rivers and other rivals that stop had plenty of mods and stands no chance the evo was winning but he also was a blown evo while the z06 was still right there there's the proof rivers suck if that vetted had just a tune bye bye evo

  • @walhanQTR Yeah, just that stock sti's run 14.5 psi and put down about 215 AWHP on a conservative dyno.

  • @filowfulwaffle but is not a stock STi and it has a bigger turbo. 17psi on the stock turbo will be different. plus the built engine and head/cams/ E85.... the car put down 516awhp at 20psi. but he added headers and took the boost down to 17psi just to be safe until he gets a new tune. thats why I said ~460

  • @MonsterTSI I love all nice cars. Evos are one of my fav among many other cars. With money you can make any car fast. and yes with the H/C/I the car is just plain nasty. Im still not feeling all the power the car makes due to elevation ((really sucks)) but its really fun. car is being rebuilt now with some forged pistons(for nitrous) and a bigger cam hopefully it will make around 630whp N/A and a lot more with nitrous. it was at 596whp (vid on my channel)

  • Well its pretty well known that the vette has potential and i have heard of them going high 10's on drag radials. I usually never post on vids but ur initial response was pretty correct in that its not such a bad deal because the vette was designed by hundreds of people at GM to be reliable whereas the turbo car is still a hack by comparison done by individual people. I'm still a fan of the evo just because its what i'm in to. if i never really wanted to open the hood it'd be the vette

  • I dont have many videos otherwise i wouldnt have made you look up that one and the closest 1/4 mile track is another 50 miles away. That run was also just a run that happened to get shown. The car has run a best of 7.55 @97 but even 7.7's with that trap is definitely 11's. check Dsmtimes.org. Thats getting a 1.65 60ft on street radial tires. Whats ur vette done at the track? I've seen some pretty sloppy runs from vettes including one where a zr1 spun the whole track

  • @MonsterTSI yea maybe high 11s but not mid 11sec. I ran 11.7@120 with a sh*tty 60ft of 1.88 on my old worn out tires when I only had headers and CAI, elevation is 5800. DA was around 6300 that day. I now have heads/cam/intake and bolt-ons and car should run high 10s at this elevation and low low 10s maybe high 9s at sea-level. hopefully will go to the track mid or end of may to get my 10sec slip :-) and I agree i've seen some bad runs with vettes due to inexperienced drivers and street tires.

It was filmed while i was in school to be an automotive technician since i'm just a dumb ricer that doesnt know shit. Its only a mid 11 sec car but i built it myself which is why i like seeing tuner cars win

I have lost many times and I always post vids of my own runs wither i win or lose. you seem to talk a lot of shit with nothing to back up, do you want to post some vids of your very FAST eclipse where you beat all those cars you're talking about? or track times?

  • i personally own an eclipse gsx so pretty much everything that could potentially be done to an evo is within my reach and after the flogging ur vette took from the last 4g63 you might want to think twice. I've beat enough domestic ass to kno that the funniest part of this whole video is the fact that if any of these runs were from a stop the vette would have bus lengths on it. i cant hook up, they dont make slicks for my rims, the planets are out of alignment... wah wah

  • @MonsterTSI lol i guess it make sense now.. typical ricer. well if you know anything about the effects of elevation on N/a cars you would know better. These runs are at 6000ft above sea-level. N/a cars suffer a lot from higher elevations. if this was at sea level it would have been a different story. ALSO i would love to do dig runs except these guys dont want to so that their cars doesnt break ( axle...transmission, ..etc)) and btw both are my cousins and yes they are fast and very respectful!

  • @MonsterTSI not at all... who is driving the vette at the end of the day??? also im going home and have nothing to worry about, and that other guy needs to check all the IC piping and turbo, bov,...etc because most of these came off :P :P :P :P yes my car is more expensive but its BONE STOCK. how much did that guy pay to get his built engine, turbo kit, ...etc?? you must be joules that you cant afford either cars.

  • Another thing...My friend has a c6 zo6 an it dynos 430whp and is a good race for my s tock turbo evo. He still pulls on me on the highway. Barely.

    with that said if you are stock and you lose more power then turbo cars at high elevation then that evo must be running Like shit or he's not running over 500whp like you say.

    or when you say stock vette you must mean Stage II cam kit, intake and dyno tune...Something doesnt add up lol.

    what mods do you have??? and what did it put on the dyno?? I dont see a single vid on your profile? sorry but for an evo to beat a Stock C6 Z06, you will need at least 500+awhp! maybe your friend needs to learn how to drive a Z06. also what dyno was that where he put 430whp??

    Listen I'm not going to sit here and get into it with you. I can tell you right now the vette is superior no argument. I make around 430whp on the stock turbo and the vette beats me from a roll no question. should beat me from a stop with better tires or at a good prepped track.

  • Sounds like someone is butt hurt or something....we dont know much about that evo besides what you typed. and by that it looks like a E-85 conversion( simple) and basic Bolt ons. I doubt he has cams and if he does they are mild. The Fp black is a stock turbo upgrade. You know that right?

    I would be willing to bet the Evo was racing you on lower boost...Who does the vette dyno stock?

I know almost everything about that car. as mentioned its my buddys evo. I dont really care if you believe this or not

    not hating at all i love the z06 it will be my next car for sure. however i have a built 2l wrx. laid down 530whp and i pulled a z06 once, 613whp should have no problem. just my experience. non the less the z06 is bad ass love it...

  • the sti isnt running on nitrous he sprays it onto the intercooler to cool intake temps so he can run more boost.. he has the NX intercooler spray kit or NX N-tercooler. i repeat THE STI IS NOT "ON SPRAY" it just sprays nitrous onto the OUTSIDE of the intercooler only used to cool intake temps alot n lets him run more boost. Whoever made the video keeps saying "sti on spray" and he's wrong that sti is full boost no nitrous. dont believe me? go to google and type NX N-tercooler

  • @inlinesk8r I made this vid. and i own the z06... and my cousins sti.

    well he was on the spray ((he was spraying through the gears on these runs)) and that car put down 560whp, and with the spray ((same boost ... etc)) he hit 613whp which means that the spray is getting to the intake.

  • @202myCity its an intercooler sprayer. its used mostly on hot days to cool down the air, but also does great job on cold nights as you can see in those vids

(he only let go when going from a gear to the next) thats what I meant. go back and read my reply, I NEVER SAID HE IS WRONG. and yes I dont know a lot about imports, but ive been around and have driven some 600+awhp EVOs and STis, and by driven, I mean racing, daily drive them, and did some launches too.

  • Wow, that C6 Z06 did a hell of a job keeping up with that EVO, frigging 27psi of boost making over 520whp.. The Z06 at the CRANK has 505hp =/

  • @xj220se theres no way the a z06 making 440 whp stock would beat a 500+whp evo its definatly 432 must be a typo but the z06 slowly pulled away and if evo is 432 the z06 has alittle more horsepower which would explain it pulling away like it did

  • @inlinesk8r you need to understand this is at 5500+ ft above sea level. turbo cars loses less power at higher elevations that N/A cars (the z06 here) if both cars where at sea-level, believe it or not, the z06 will beat ((or be very very close to the evo)) also not sure what number are you referring to ((the 432???)) the evo is making over 500awhp and almost 500awtq

  • @ajfisher1 even with all the mods the evo and sti still have less money in them than a z06. Some people would rather build a car than buy one thats already quick.

  • @ajfisher1 I don't think the Z06 is the "benchmark" of vehicles... but it is an amazing car. Very fast. Even stock. It also has 4 more cyclinders, much more diplacement, better gearing, better aerodynamics and it's RWD, which has a huge advantage from a roll. SO, of course it's going to take some boost in a 4 cylinder car to beat one... why is that hilarious? I'd take a 500whp, 4 cylinder AWD vehicle, that I can take ANYWHERE over a cock extender like the Z06... But hey, to each their own.

  • @riggy3030 i couldnt have said that better myself only thing i would add is that for the $70,000+ you pay for a new c6 z06 you can build a 9 second evo and a 9 second 1g dsm and buy a decent daily driver. also id add that depending on how high the awd revs it may not have such a big disadvantage from a roll. for example my 1g DSM revs to 9,500 and i have beat my friends 640 whp 300z tt. n thats a highway/highspeed car but im also close to 1000lbs light maybe weighs 2700 max with me in it

  • @202myCity well you are forgetting something! at the end you will be driving an evo that you cant drive daily and need to take it to a shop every month due to things breaking up, and I will be driving a C6 Z06 that is a 10sec car STOCK, and only time it will see a dealership is when it needs an oil change! I daily drive my 9sec Z06 now (by theory) and I have 0 issues with it. plz tell me what 9 sec evo or 1g dsm can say that!? did i mention im still on the STOCK BLOCK/STOCK pistons/crank...etc?

  • @RevHardEp3 the sti in this run wasnt tuned for the new parts installed and was running a single fuel pump. thats why we took the boost down. car is tuned at 26 PSI now!

  • @FireballM3 YES... car is still running with no issues. car even have more power right now after installing a duel pump on it. only issue is the car dont have 6th gear anymore lol you know the MR 6 speed tranny sucks and people always do a 5speed swap! and this is what this guy is going to do. he will get a built 5 speed. as for miles I believe around 5K miles on this setup. car is Daily driven!

  • @walhanQTR I would tell your buddy to wait. Shep Trans (the company that builds most of those bulletproof Evo 5-speeds) is releasing a new/stronger gearset for the 6-speed very soon. Should allow that MR to put down the power and not lose the superior top-end gearing of the 6-speed.

  • @abrico486 hmmm I have no idea... the STI is not mine, its my buddy's STI. he has a button that he presses whenever he want to spray! it has nothing to do with the RPM!!

  • @abrico486 lol your intercooler tank is low its not spraying when you get on it, it pushes the fluid back and turns on the light to say its low you have to spay it yourself

  • @walhanQTR Yeah I know, it is kinda taboo in the Evo and STI community to run nitrous. The few Evos that do run it run 50-75 and I haven't heard of or recall anyone running over 100 shot. I know most Evo guys would rather crank up the boost rather than putting nitrous in their cars, especially on youtube where people will say, well the cobra didn't have NAWZZZ, that's why he lost....

    The only reason why I said he needs to spray it in the engine is because he got pulled hard...

  • @jasnm21 the STI is running 17 PSI in this run, the car is tuned at 20 PSI making 516whp. he did beat the Z06 at 20 PSI without brake boosting (check the vid on my channel) the car is at 25 PSI now making 560whp/540wtq maxing out his turbo (dyno vid is also posted on my youtube channel!)

    DB wont tune a car with nitrous.. thats why its taboo.... Its very hard to control boost on the spray in evos.. but o boy do they love it.

  • nice races. love evos own 1998 evo 5 rs and evo 9 gsr . the only credit is that that stock corvette will work exactly the same for 100k miles and highly tuned evos and sti`s won`t. still love 4wd small tuned engined cars

  • well i would also say that the car is probably running lean on e85 with the 1000cc injectors and fp-black....but i'm pretty sure that he is not running stock fuel pressure regulator....so if the fuel pressure is turned up a bit it could be just fine. however i think that the evo can do better than on the vid with a good mapped fp-black.

    if the regulator is stock....the car is much to lean.

  • Im very impressed with the Z06! Keeping up with that HEAVILY modded evo and beating the STI! I believe the Z06 is just an intake+tune away to leave both cars far behind ....

  • for the Evo, yes intake + tune is enough....

    but for the STI, will need more than bolt-ons to beat it....

    that STI is only running 17 PSI on this race.. and its putting around 485whp....

    the STI will be around 650whp with a little more boost....

  • The FP Black has already made over 700hp on a well prepared budget car.... 600 is easy to do with a FP Black on an Evo, just not on the stock block. There are FP Reds running mid to low 10s. This Evo isn't making 600+ so he just has bolt ons and no e85 or high boost...

  • when you say "This Evo" are you referring to the one in this vid?? because the one in this vid is running E85 and has cams.... car puts down 523whp and 497wtq!! There is a vid of the dyno of the same car on my profile! ad true Ive seen a vid of the FP black making over 700hp, but as you said not the stock block :)

  • I understand but he is probably on the stock block. 600hp is easily achievable with a black. The video that I watched before this one was a fp red vs a stock c6 z06 and a modified c5 with nitrous and the little FP Red walked away from the c6 like nothing and wasn't even brake boosting. So yes, this car might be quick but it is now where near the potential on the FP Black. I am not trying to take anything away from either car but the Red could easily do this also.

  • FYI, the evo belongs to a close friend of mine, and I know all mods he have.... yes he is still on the stock block, stock heads, and stock 6speed trans.... his car only has bolt-ons (and not the best bolt-ons) and cams.... otherwise stock so his numbers is really impressive. and I forgot to mention that his fuel pump is pretty much maxed out, otherwise he would be able to turn the boost up a little more....

  • I know Ryu from TTP made 590awhp on the TTP dyno and ran a 10.3xx stock block and head I believe, the head I could be wrong about. Your friend has a lot of things holding him back, the fuel pump, throw a BR double pumper in there, and get a 5 speed for better gear ratios with an Evo 8 4th gear. It is impressive, c6 z06s are no joke but the FP black is capable of 600 easy and high 600s on a well prepared car. It is xpensivehabit new video. That car is no joke and I believe it is also stock bk

  • I know you aren't saying I am hating but there is always some 12 year old that thinks he knows everything and starts talking trash... The problem is they are normally in their 20s but act like they are 12 lol. With bolt ons he would need about ~600 to keep up, just a guess though. There is a vid on streetfire with a bolt on c6 z06 and he might have nitrous and the evo pulled top end, go figure. He was built with a gt35, about what a blk can do. I also think it was at elevation...

  • I still didn't decide.... I dont want to lose my 5yrs/100000 warranty just yet :-( GM has this thing with tuned Z06s .....!! but we will see, there is a big chance that I will tune :-) we will find out next week LOL

  • That is why I bought a used Evo instead of new. I had parts waiting for the Evo to get to me and since then I have changed everything but the exhaust. I hate warranties..

  • warranties are really good, esp with Z06s, since they are know to have engine failures, even in stock form!!

    this is the only vid I can find of an FP red that makes almost the same power... the video does not say all mods or what wtq, but the car is on E85 with more mods than the evo in this vid.... so yeah you might be right! I really don't know a lot about Evos or STis, but from what ive heard, his numbers are great and is pretty much what it should make with the mods he have :)

  • and the best thing is he could always go for 600+ with that black as soon as he builds it... That is the turbo I am buying and selling my Red that is just sitting here lol.

    I was really replying to the guy that said it was HEAVILY modified... He is not heavily modified, he is nicely modified.  I also ASSume he is on the stock ECU right?

  • yeah I wouldn't consider it heavily modded really... especially when it is still on the stock block and stock everything really (other than cams of corse) and yes stock ECU!!

  • And I can't wait for that one guy to come in here and say, "Put a turbo on the vette and see what happens!!!" Well yeah, with a turbo any v8 is going to make killer power but seriously, run what you brung. The c6 doesn't need much, that thing is a BEAST from factory and you are lucky to have one.

  • And another thing, depending on where you live he is in NO WAY running e85 right now... It changes during the winter and colder months to e70 which I am sure you know. e85 will put down just a few more hp.

  • Great runs man all cars runs great..

    You need 1.7/8 Headers + Intake and retune and then run the EVO again it runs strong..

    im thinking either kooks 1 7/8 with offroad x-pipe, or LG super pro 1 7/8 with off-road x-pipe....

    as for the intake, either Vararam or halltech :)

  • I've tested both intakes and both will make close power at the dyno but on the street Vararam will WIN For sure..

    I also hear LG Headers will make a little more mid range power and TQ over the Kooks....

    Oh if you get the Vararam you NEED and Tune ASAP other wise you'll feel the car is slower....
