nice...but horrible form. If you pause the at 9 seconds you see his legs are all the way extended before he gets the weight up. I think this guy could get alot more weight if he did it properly and thrusted with his legs instead of his back. Could seriously injur himself.
@dimaman15 There's no quadruple extension in the power clean. Instead, there is triple extension and I cover this and all about the power clean and its technique on a recent article in my blog. Highly recommended for those looking to hit big numbers in the power clean.
no offense but most black people are really arrogant, he cleaned 352 and cocks off about it when hes done like hes the shit, but pat mendes cleans 529 and he acts like its no big deal, ppl like this guy in this video piss me off
@HanstheDestroyer215 That is a stereotype that just isn`t true. Anyone would be excited at getting a heavy weight like that, particularly if it`s your first time. Testosterone is pumping, energy is high, and you get excited.
@HanstheDestroyer215 Hahaahha really? You're going to try and compare this guy to Pat Mendes? Who has probably 70 pounds on Aaron, and about 20 cycles of juice? And I got some news for you, if you can clean over 300 pounds.. Yeah, you ARE the shit. Are you going to be breaking olympic records with that clean? Probably not, but he's stronger then about 95% of the world. Give some credit where it's due, damn..
@DKDIESEL93 "wah wah wah Pat Medes does steroids wah wah wah" Fuckin' sick of seeing you pencil neck faggots come on lifting videos and talk smack about steroids. Fuckin' hater.
@MultiTrollHunter if u werent so stupid you would read the comment in context and realize he wasnt bashing steroids he was saying that it was an impressive lift for a natural lifter
@27Dawkins Really? Do you lift? LOL Joking aside I didn't see him do one thing RIGHT. I'm not even sure that qualifies as a power clean. Maybe a power-dirty....
@MichaelnChristine I was kinda being serious haha. Im no expert power cleaner so i was wondering. I know his footwork is sloppy but thats some raw power still
@27Dawkins In all seriousness if this were a competition where the power clean was an event he'd be idsqualified for that form. I don't actually see a single point that was correct....
I believe he was on rep 39 & tried for a PR. He was doing 1 rep on the minute for 50 minutes. Game Day training at Wake Forrest, it gets you firing on all cylinders. He was probably doing a lighter weight leading up to up & decided to up the weight when he was feeling froggy.
@m5p944 hahaha wat the fuck is win dixie? why is a racist like u watching the nfl player aaron curry (who happens to make millions, much more than u will ever make) powerclean?
@Apjooz Thats why hes in the nfl and ur not. Idk about other people but your 2 totally different ppl when it comes between football and casual life. No hes not acting like a monkey. Maybe he is just EXCITED and loves football
Why do you assume something about me? He's in a NFL because he shouts in the gym, really? He loves football so much he gets excited in the gym, really?
That's just how wake forest trains, they don't do the usual 3 sets of 10 or 5 sets of five, my highschool coach uses their workout plan and we do crazy sets like 16 sets of 2, 8 sets of six, 10 sets of 10..... great for your endurance during games and practices
Does Wake Forest offer a major in film? I'm thinking there is some clever staging going on here with the camera angles & zooms. First the focus zooms in on the monstrous weight plates Curry will attempt to lift. Then, quite dramatically, at :04, we see Curry's feet speed into the frame--a device that says "It's time for action". Then, it's showtime as a pan up reveals the rest of Curry before he hoists the bar. You can't convince me these guys didn't practice this for maximum theatrical effect
Maybe AARON Curry & crew were oblivious & the cameraman acted alone in using these devices. In any event, I think it's interesting that Curry was 1 of 2 guys named AARON born on APRIL 6th selected in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft. AARON Curry (b. 1986) at #4 by the Seattle Seahawks & AARON Michael MAYbin (b. 1988) at #11 to the Buffalo Bills. Here, Curry attempts to lift 352 pounds. Coincidentally, the YouTube video, "Aaron Maybin Draft Day" (watch?v=mMnfkQ383ug ) has a length of 3:52
AARON Michael MAYbin was drafted out of Penn State Univ. and his Wikipedia page says his roommate was fellow Nittany Lions linebacker Navorro BOWMAN (b. May 28, 1988). By contrast, AARON Curry was drafted out of Winston-Salem, NC's Wake Forest Univ., which counted former R.J. REYnOLDs president BOWMAN Gray as one of its greatest benefactors. Until 1968, BOWMAN GRAY Stadium was the home of Wake Forest Demon Deacons football. Winston-Salem State Univ. Rams football still uses the facility today
damn i dont know whos better aaron curry or brian orakpo who is playing linebacker now for the NFL brian is deffinately stronger but its close, look at brian orakpo interviews, hes huge and so is aaron, to bad we couldnt get both, lol
theres a reason why theyre world class olympic lifters, of course they can do it 39 times, now can these neanderthal brainless football players snatch 135kg 39 times? didnt think so, IF they even knew what or how to do a snatch LOL
but dawg dont get it twisted this fool still a world class athlete at the end of the day,(6'4 256 lbs running a 4.5 fourty) i mean u right in a sense of lifting period, but dont get it twisted bein a football player is far from bein brainless believe that
if there so fuckin brainless they are on scholarships were they have 2 maintain there grades and come out 2 the field right after school and remember all those plays and quick reactions but still get that work done... yea there real fuckin brainless your right
i guess u dont know what ur talking about. the reaosn colleges workout and use olympic and powerlifting lifts are beacause they need to get stronger and build specific muscles that help u explode and react in football.

how the fuck do you get 352 lbs. on a bar ??? at my school we go by 5lbs. so that means instead of doing 352 we would be doing either 355 or 350
danyc09 8 months ago
@danyc09 probably because it was loaded with plates numbered in kg, then converted to lb. 352 is 160 kg.

red = 25kg

yellow = 15kg

So in total there is 160kg, including the 20kg bar. :)
