  • nice...but horrible form. If you pause the at 9 seconds you see his legs are all the way extended before he gets the weight up. I think this guy could get alot more weight if he did it properly and thrusted with his legs instead of his back. Could seriously injur himself.

  • @dimaman15 There's no quadruple extension in the power clean. Instead, there is triple extension and I cover this and all about the power clean and its technique on a recent article in my blog. Highly recommended for those looking to hit big numbers in the power clean.

  • @danyc09 probably because it was loaded with plates numbered in kg, then converted to lb. 352 is 160 kg.

  • I believe he was on rep 39 & tried for a PR. He was doing 1 rep on the minute for 50 minutes. Game Day training at Wake Forrest, it gets you firing on all cylinders. He was probably doing a lighter weight leading up to up & decided to up the weight when he was feeling froggy.

  • That's just how wake forest trains, they don't do the usual 3 sets of 10 or 5 sets of five, my highschool coach uses their workout plan and we do crazy sets like 16 sets of 2, 8 sets of six, 10 sets of 10..... great for your endurance during games and practices

First the focus zooms in on the monstrous weight plates Curry will attempt to lift. Then, quite dramatically, at :04, we see Curry's feet speed into the frame--a device that says "It's time for action". Then, it's showtime as a pan up reveals the rest of Curry before he hoists the bar. You can't convince me these guys didn't practice this for maximum theatrical effect
