No, the lowest price of DSLR has auto focus is canon 7d. is not big of deal, you need to had fast hand of keep constant changinng the lens ring for focus,t he live view help that.

a lot of professional videographers have bought the 5d mk II only because of its video capability despite being crippled on its video features. one word "DOF" film look this is the reason why they want it.

movie mode is a marketing tool and definitely working for canon[and nikon] as sales of canon prime lenses went up all their lenses are backordered in usa/europe/asia.

yes. Its because of the lens he is using. He is shooting with a pretty wide aperture, allowing a smaller depth of field (DOF), making the background blurry and achieving that "professional" quality in his movie.

The only time that the 20fps is a real issue is for very fast cross screen movement like shooting across a road with cars going left to right. Very similar issues that you have to watch with 24fps film. Oh and use a tripod if you are wanting nice to watch video (from any camera) a tripod - monopod - or steady cam is one of the most important items. Especially with the focal lengths most will end up using on this camera!! Not so important if you clip on a 10mm : )

A few things - first it is not the "low FPS" that is making this shudder it is the conversion if you pause it you can see frame blending that would not have been in the original footage. I am a professional videographer producing broadcast video and I am surprisingly pleased with the quality from this at 1080p 20 fps we are only talking 4 fps less than film. I have both the 50D and the 500D - the 50D is definitely a different level but 500 is great and I am very happy with it as a backup body!

이건 낮은 프레임으로 찍은것이 아니다.

분명히 촬영할때는 720p + 30fps로 촬영됐으나, 베가스로 인코딩하는 중에(처음 인코딩해봄) 문제가 있었는지 프레임레이트가 떨어져버렸다.

카메라 구입후 채10분도 지나지않아 촬영했기때문에 MF포커싱기술도, 어떻게 촬영해야하는지도 모르고 촬영했던 동영상이다.

인코딩을 하면서 옵션 조절하여 최적의 설정을 찾아볼 만큼의 열정 또한 없다.

단지 일상생활을 촬영할제품이 필요했고, 내게있어 youtube is hd movie save외에 어떠한 의미도 없다.

You're joking right? EOS 50D and the 500d/T1i are in completely different leagues. Get the 50D. This HD movie is just a marketing tool. You can spend 400 on an HD camcorder and get better video recording abilities than the T1i. The T1i has a tiny plastic body, I tried it out yesterday..just like the XSi but with the video, more fps, and more mp. EOS 50D, that's for dedicated photographers. If you want to take videos, try out an HD camcorder you'll be more pleased with the video results

Yea, 50D is 1100 from amazon, so 200 more than the T1i. The T1i is a great camera of course, you can't go wrong with it. And if you will use the video, definitely get that. But if you have an HD camcorder already it's not necessary. 50D is serious photographers camera, built like a tank. Go to like a best buy or a camera store and see the difference between them, u can't go wrong with either, but 50D would be what serious photographers would pick.

500D를 HD CAMCODER가 아닌 일반 DSLR로 생각하는것이 좋다. 나는 1D MARK III를 사용하고 있으며, 500D는 SUB CAMERA로 BUY한 것이기므로 SNAP CAMERA로서의 500D는 좋지만, HD CAM으로서 500D는 별로이다. (500D의 HD CAMCODER = 500D BODY + BEST QUALITY LENS (f 2.8 under)의 조합이 필요하다.
