  • Why are they playing it as a waltz??

  • Wow, I LOVE this. My Papaw (grandpa on my dad's side) just told me she was his cousin. The weird thing is I'm an alt-country singer/songwriter, and my name's Molly too.. at first I went by Molly Tee, even before I knew about Molly Bee! But I absolutely love this. She is lovely, and has a beautiful voice. The harmonies are stunning.

Wish I could have met her! She is the only musician (professional OR amateur) I am related to.. have no idea where I got my knack for music from.

  • and again I love youtube for having seen and heard this...

  • please more than 21 videos, PLEASE?! Many thanks, Many....

  • You'd think this video would get more views now with Starcraft 2 featuring this song.

  • TEF is such a ham.

  • It's interesting that they play it as a waltz. Really changes the feel of the song. I learned it in 4/4 from the Joe Maphis version but I think I like it better this way.

  • The Beat Farmers did a great cover of Dim Light too.

    Awesome video!

  • The New Riders Of The Purple Sage did a great version of Dim Lights.

  • Joe- She laughed every day with her family, missed Ernie, Cliffie, and all the folks over the years that went before her. She told the stories of the old days every time we were on the phone, or when I'd come down to San Diego on vacation... Thanksgiving and Christmas will be really hard for our family this year. Thanks to all for your kind words =)

  • Don't take this the wrong way, but as she matured into a lovely young lady, Mollie had absolutely the finest, uh..rear end...of any woman ever photographed (Google-up a photo of her and see if I'm lyin'...she tended to capitalize on her 'assets' in publicity stills.)

It's a shame that such a breathtaking beauty had to go through the unhappiness of 4 divorces.

  • that was as good as it gets....gave me chills

  • She sounds like she's hurtin, literally

  • This is just 3 great talents having fun and making beautiful music on national television.

  • boy, I really hate that Molly died, this video is off the charts........

    sweeeeeeeeeeeettttttt.

  • True talent has been traded for sun tans, bleached teeth, and makeup and....off-key voice fixes in the studio!

  • My God, you hit the nail right on the head ,rll1954,

...only thing you left out was the GREEDY,GREEDY music industry people who currently run Nashville!,Makes you wonder, would Molly ,Ernie,or even Merle, get signed by today's (sub)standards! Keepin REAL country alive,

    Jim-Joe

  • @rll1954 .......Tell it like it is!

  • god bless them all, for their contributions to country music' and for what we enjoy today. RIP MOLLY we'll see you on the other side

  • Never heard Merle Travis sing harmony before. Great video by 3 late great stars. Thanks for posting

  • Her friends here at Jh1 will miss her very much she was a wonderful person. seeing her everyday out walking her dog Trouble. Our lives will be a much more empty without her

  • To think you could see and hear this stuff on tv every day. Andy Griffith must've been a huge fan of Ernie Ford.

  • Molly Bee died yesterday @ 8 Am 02/07/2009

  • She died Feb.7,2009 8 AM

  • Whow, how much I love it!Thanxxxx from Berlin

  • A feel good video.

I watch this once or twice a week it makes me feel good and leaves a smile on my face.

Thanks so much for posting it.

  • Molly Bee was my first crush, I would run home from school to see her on the Pinky Lee show. I always thought she would make it bigger than she did. I saw her in person at an army base in Germany in 1967.

  • Haven't left a comment for a while, but I watch this great vid frequently.

  • Molly's voice is perfect for the high harmony this song requires. Plus they are all having so much fun!! Thanks for sharing this. I really enjoy it and replay it constantly!! Gave it a five/fave, of course!!!

  • Wow, I loved her singing. I also loved TEF and MT's harmonies, and loved this whole vid.

  • they missed the harmony notes at the end, but wow, that was fantastic. That bit is so country that a lot of folks just won't get it. just great!!!!!!!!!

  • That's entertainment! What else can you say?

  • Wonderful!

  • i think molly bee here might be the prettiest lady i have ever seen, and with that voice. having travis and ford fighting over you. one of my favorite country songs done just right.

  • Can't turn back the clock on this one but I sure wish they hadn't been goofin' so much. This would have been so poignant. Superb otherwise. I lived near Tennessee Ernie as a kid, and when even younger watched Molly Bee sing with Spade Cooley once a week on L. A. television.

  • I used to play countless country records with Molly in the 70's.We were good friends.I never got over how beautifull she was, and seemingly unaware of it.She is a very virtuous girl,a real sweetheart. She also sings like nobodys business!

  • There's some good harmony.

  • This is awesome great. The vocals are the best! Fived and faved.

  • WOW!!! Absolutely FABULOUS!!!
