    Because Folding Fan was an invention of Goryeo, during 10th century I believe and then transmitted to Song China and Heian Japan : )

  • @kjwp33 at least here in Los Angeles, we actually tend to play the Changoo Chum very often, and at the KCN, part of the Poongmul piece (the Changoo soli) is based on the movements and playing of this song.

  • I love all this stuff so much. It reminds me of my stay in Chin Ju (Jin Ju) when I got to see a lot of this live. I wish I could go back.

    In 1995 I even managed to get on stage after a performance, play a drum and join in some dancing. If there is anyone in Sussex UK who could teach me to play the Jang Gu I would be so grateful.
