This world is a terrible place. Anyone who thinks otherwise is insane. The tortures this family has gone through are beyond comprehension. And there can be ZERO justification for the death penalty, because humans will ALWAYS be subject to error, and the process will always be subject to spinning out of control. This man was innocent. They got the wrong guy.

I am supporter of the capital punishment, despite there was executed might (might not) an innocent man. I would order the execution in absolute clear cases only. I mean with DNA evidence, witnesses, and expert examinations by various forensic experts and absolute consensus of jury. This case would have to be judged and studied by tens of judges and law attorneys, before the final verdict is pronounced to ensure absolute certainty.

I empathize with the family of Troy Davis. I am so sorry for all you have all gone through. Although I have never met Troy, I shed heartfelt tears for him. May Troy's soul rest in perfect peace. Troy had enough of emotional torture and I believe he is now resting with Jesus. May God bless, uphold and comfort the bereaved family

I'm from Iran and I find it interesting that the court system there is based largely on emotion and they use that to kill people. And in this country it about going based on policy but the end result is the same. Someone dies. America cannot say that they are better that other countries on human rights anymore.

The State of Georgia has one of the worse (if not the worse) justice systems in America. They are unorganized and careless about who's innocent. Admitting they made a mistake would cost a ton of money and assert mass doubt in the legal system. The real killers (prosecutor, possibly one of the witnesses) would then be held responsible.
