These guys are a pretty decent modern art rock band. Sure Wilson is no Peter Gabriel but he's a better singer than the usual shitholes nowadays. Plus he's better than Mick Jagger. But then again a monkey being castrated is better than Mick Jagger.

Ignoring the sniping - 'Uncertain Weather' from the Wilson fronted Genesis album 'Calling All Stations' is a superb song and in the upper pantheon of songs that Genesis put to record.

How disrespectful - I'm a young guitar player of nearly ten years experience. Having even only seen Ray live on only one occasion, I can cite him as a great musician. Someone who's talent I greatly admire. He's making a living from writing and playing music - I'm sure there are plenty of people who wish they had enough talent to do the same

He should call all his tours 'stars in your eyes' and be done with it, I mean one minute its Stiltskin, then its Peter Gabriel tribute band, the world of Genesis, then Ray Wilson ex, ex ,ex this and that!! All with the same musicians, hes surrounded by musicians with equally ne self respect, so what do you expect. A good example of this is the Polish Rock festival, where all the other bands are thrashing it out and Stiltskin are playing 'in the air tonight', got a bit confused there Ray!!

I have to say Ray Wilson is a very talented and thought-provoking performer. Has anyone heard These Are the Changes? His brief tenure with Genesis was interesting and enjoyable. Genesis fans have often been tough customers, as Phil will remember when he stepped up to the microphone in Trick of a Tail. Phil put a lot of energy into the band but that does not take away from Ray the artist.

This song wasn't written by Ray Wilson, it was written by Tony Banks & Mike Rutherford for the "Genesis" Calling All Stations album before Ray arrived. But I agree, the lyrics he does write are not all that. His talents are very minimal.

objectiveear, check out the stiltskin track FAME, for a laugh. I mean this guy actually thinks hes in a position where he can look upon people as a lesser talent than his. The song also highlights that he thinks he is famous. It also resembles an eighties death metal track ie contemporary german metal. I take this guy for what he is - a decent strong vocalist who can front a rock band.I think he does his best with what he's got.That era moved on yes but what else is he going to promote that's his market.His songwriting it might cater to a foreign audience but he can gig and keep a low key career going which I think is all he cares about.I definately rate him above a 'pub singer' and i'm curious to find out which Edinburgh Music Scene he's belittling? i like this version... but as a band, Genesis does this sooo much better.... like the guitar solo, Mike rutherford does something for this song that this guy doesn't.... smae with the keyboards.... there's just something about a part that is played by Mike Rutherford or Tony banks.... their parts on a Genesis song can only be played by them for it to sound 100% satisfactory to me... but these guys were alright... not knocking them, it just sounded like a good cover....
