But you bring home the fact that water is so cohesive that even a large amount will retain its shape until another force interact with it. And you have the video to prove it too. Now that is cool! if you want to make a simulated meteor impact, you should take a gun bullet that is glowing white (from heat). Shoot it with a gun (surely that would not work with a white glowing bullet) into a big bucket filled with sand. Under the sand should be a container with water. = BOON

These are good for simulating a low velocity metallic meteorite slamming into the less dense regolith that is found on the moon as well as on mars. For a simulated high speed impact you would need special equipment such as a vacuum chamber and high velocity gun. If you wanted to simulate this a little better you could try to make cocoa meteorites by adding a drop of water to some cocoa and allowing the clump to dry.. then drop it from the same height. Maybe this only works in theory though.

Thanks. it is a good idea. I tryed using a water drop today and almost got 1. it left a small peak in the center. Tomorrow or saterday we will try it again.
