In 1974 or 74 (My dad was a gatetender at the dam) his friend Johnny Baugh and two other guys did that stretch in a canoe. It was actually worse then because I-70 had yet to be there and they hadn't dynamited around the tunnel. But anyway, Baugh and two other guys did that in a CANOE. One died, Johnny was busted up and the other walked away relatively unscathed. My dad said all the time guys would walk up there with girls ready to impress them but never ACTUALLY did it. Kudos to you guys!!
