Roy and Tor Pinney found much success with The Chains, whose version of “I Ain’t Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore” was a regional smash. Referred to as “The Beatles of El Paso,” The Chains recorded four singles – all examples of 1960’s garage rock at its finest. This first ever compilation of the Pinney brothers’ ‘60’s music includes all of the 45s released by The Dolphins and The Chains .Roy and Tor anyone know where Ted Wood is the drummer?
Great band and a great era. These guys played in Deming as well, several times. Other groups out of Las Cruces-the Shandells with Bob Alexander, until he was killed in an auto accident, replaced with John Laduke formerly from the Male Box and the Outer Limits, played the halls. Damn I miss those days
The first time I heard this was ANGEL's version.....I had no idea it was a 60's song
until a few years ago.....Angel was a heavy-metal band that sorta flopped but they also contributed alot to metal music and live shows...this is VERY cool to hear!
Come on the Rascals with Eddie singing lead blows this away.Rock On

@ringo244 Well, the Rascals with Eddie singing lead blew most bands away. But this one's OK. Got everything but soul.

Thanks for uploading this! Until recently I thought it was an original Angel song. Do you know what year and album this is from?

@backupped3 Other than The Bobby Fuller Four they might be El Paso's best 60s band.

They use to pack the house at those Cathedral dances. People from Las Cruces to Clint use to show up. Great memories.
