Ya, I like to do that even though I fully realize that the word "miracle" has more than one meaning, one of them being, an event of good fortune, so unlikely that it SEEMS impossible. This meaning does not need for there to be any supernatural *anything* to be useful. I still hate how often it is used in the news. I think of it as reporters becoming lazier and lazier as time goes by. So many news clichés need to be retired forever, and this one is high on the list.
im not trying to b an asshole or anything but if there was no wind that could be very easy just make sure the back or the plane hits the water first or else...uh ur dead
Your an idiot. Landing a fully loaded passenger airliner, WITH ONE ENGINE OUT into water is beyond difficult. It was a miracle that the plane didn't flip, or break apart. Next time you want to post something.............don't.
@Elemarth id love to see u land a fully fueled passenger jet on a runway... for a start there is a risk the wings would snap of the plane with all the weight in them... and chances of him to of got the plane back and landed safely on runway is slim...
@AJAnewage This is the guy who's performed the only safe ditching of a passenger jet in history! If he can do that, he can sure land on a runway on one engine (planes are supposed to be flyable on half their engines) when the plane's heavy.
Anyway, that's not the point. It's a fact that he lost both engines.
He had almost no height and no power at all and nothing flat in sight except the river. That's why he went there, where he knew survival and rescue could be very difficult.
Amazing... It wasn' their time. :)

both engines were out...and i admit doing this would be tough but not for a pilot like him

@KartKing4ever both engines..... what the hell u on about? only 1 failed.... a bird went into the engine and blew it out, (ONLY 1)
AJAnewage 11 months ago
@AJAnewage Where in the world did you get that idea? They could have easily made an airport if they'd had one engine left.
seriously amazing landing... but he was lucky it was on a river on a calm day, not the ocean.

@AJAnewage I also think it would be more difficult to land on water with one engine than on a runway with landing gear...
Elemarth 9 months ago
@Elemarth maybe so but its id say its less of a risk than landing on a runway with a your wings full of jet fuel lol
